I graduated from this school and was poorly prepared for college. I could not find Europe on a map and I found myself way behind my college peers academically. In addition, when I attended the school, several teachers were innappropriate with the students. I cannot discourage parents strongly enough to consider alternative options.
This school is no longer in business. Current owner has moved the school and it has changed to a K-5 school. Read the Bradenton Herald for more info. IRS advises people not to give any money to new owners. This school gets a F minus from me. Be advised it would be better to find a new school.
I am thrilled with the quality of the faculty and the care taken by the administration. Very few places have principals that would take such personal interest as the head of school at Bradenton Prep. No wonder my son was accepted to one of the most sought after colleges in the country!
We have two children that have attended Bradenton Prep going on three years now. My son who was falling through the cracks in a larger school, has excelled at BPA and is now passing and actually caring about his work due the low student to teacher ratio. My daughter who is honors class is being challenged everyday as each child is pushed to their full potential
I agree With all these parents ,what a great school, They said it all for me , I am Really proud to know these caring people, And proud to have my grandson in there school.
I am so grateful that this school emphasizes the unique talents of each child. The leadership works to attract talented and dedicated teachers. My one child has been in college for two years and was more than prepared for the honors curriculum there. My second child, so different from the first, is also enjoying an enriching educating which includes project based learning and a wonderful performing arts department.
At one point I thought my daughter would receive a wonderful education at this school. She attended from a very young age. I was convinced until we moved out of state. The quality of her education was subpar at best. She needed to special tutoring in order to catch up with the rest of the students. In addition to that, leadership was poor as teacher turnover was unbelievably high with very few teachers staying through one year. The sad thing is that there was no consistency with the staff. My daughter is now a sophmore in high school and in honors classes and excelling far beyond my expectations. Thankfully, the environment she is in now is much more validating toward the students and staff.
An educational facility run by educators. Wonderful learning environment of small class sizes, individual attention, involved teachers and staff who's goal is student success. Unique microcosm of mainly local students blended with a mix of International students from around the world, creates not only a learning environment, but also a cultural experience as students share life experiences with each other in class and after hours. State of the art parent/teacher/student internet contact for progress, assignments grades, schedules all on line allows instant access and communication. A progressive sports program bringing top name coaching together with developing athletes. Arts, Drama etc taught with enthusiasm, from the heart, with excitement and always growing to meet students interest. It will be a sad day for us when our daughter graduates from Bradenton Academy. It has been great being a Bradenton Academy parent.
Outstanding college placement record with a variety of students. The 2006 class of 52 earned over $1,180,000 in academic and athletic scholarships. A varsity sports program currently ranked 2nd in the state of Florida. The television studio, performing arts program, and chorus program are exceptional. The Leadership Program allows students to develop outstanding citizenship skills.
Quality of Education is good. It is a privately owned school. It lacks professional leadership as in a board of directors. Very little music, some art, almost all sports. Level of parent involvement is good, but could be better.
