My son will be attending Oasis Middle for his third and final year. The school was truly an answer to prayer for our family. My son was attending a middle school that claimed to have 'no tolerance for bullying. My son was bullied so much that he begged to not have to go to school. Oasis has a no tolerance rule as well. However, they take the time and make an effort to make that happen. They listen to the children and work through the issues with them. They build their self esteem & teach them to value things like truth while giving them the education that pays off in both grades and FCAT results. My son has had issues in reading in the past. Oasis has worked with him so that at the end of this year he has achieved being at grade level. Oasis school has teachers that work to help your child to achieve his/her educational goals. A principal that is no nonsense and stands by her rules. Most of all, the staff at Oasis cares about their children, not just their educational success.

As a concerned parent, I must say that I am thoroughly satisfied with all of the faculty and very impressed with the school's cirriculum. Oasis helped my son come out of his shell and adjusted to his way of learning. The school exceeded my expectations. The principles, values, and respect taught in this school is practically non existant in public schools today. 'Way to go OASIS!!!'

Hi, my name is Leanne Carberry. I'm a student at Oasis Middle. I went there in the middle of sixth grade because I was having problems at my other school. Oasis is a great school. After I went to Oasis, I brought up my grades. Im no longer getting in trouble and I found people who care about me. Thats all teens really want, Is someone to respect them. Now I am going into eighth grade at Oasis. So if you are a parent that has a student that is getting in trouble, getting bad grades, and does not really get along with teachers that yell at them.. Then Oasis Middle School is the school you should think about. I LOVE OASIS MIDDLE SCHOOL..!!

I think this school is excellent. From the curriculum, the Director of the School Ms. Edna Bailey, to the wonderful teachers. My daughter came in this past year, her first in Middle School and enjoyed it very much. She was an average student last year in California and didn't perform well on her state test. Here at Oasis her grades soared and was above average on the state test here. I asked what the difference was and she said it was the class size. She had more access to the teachers and she said she really enjoyed the Drama class and the chance to do martial arts with a hall of fame martial arts instructor. The small school setting(no more than 12 students) really got her motivated. The school has only been open 3 years but received an A grade by the State of Florida, the highest a school can achieve.

Oasis has a wonderful theatre program. They use the childrens' life experiences to create interesting and compelling drama that is relevant to our young people today. They even created a school book out of children's writing. I don't know of any other school in Manatee County that makes such an emotional, educational and artistic investment in our children. This school is on the rise, and if their present endeavors are of any indication, I expect to see great things from Oasis in the future.
