Great school to have your child success in her/his professional goal. I highly recommend it since this year I have my 2nd daughter and she is getting the same support my first daughter get to enter in the best college to study. I highly recommend Mariner High to anyone who wants to achieve his/her professional goals.
Having moved from a different Country I found the Counsellor very helpful, the students friendly and the school in good condition.
I have just move to Cape Coral and am going to mariner for my senior year. I am very pleased with the school. I have made some great friends, and it is only the second week of school. The teachers I have are very nice. Although the dress code seems a little too tough. We are not allowed to wear leggings or show our shoulders. But overall this school is nice and has good classes. I love the photography class.
This school is not about students. There are way too many overthinkers at this school, I'm not sure how many vice-principles there are, but they have lost the purpose of school is to educate. I know how horrible it is when a student gets caught using a cell phone between classes or wear a pair of jeans with a rip in the front of their legs, but to give kids time off or iss for those reasons is ridiculous. There is no work assigned during these processes, so where's the education? Time to open your eyes and shake your heads...aweful school!
Mariner High School is an amazing school. Everybody from the freshman to the seniors are treated equally and fairly. I'm currently a freshman at MHS and i have friends from every grade level. We are the fightin' Tritons and we are all one big family. No one can tear us apart. Go Fightin' Tritons! Oh btw. Mrs. Hellman is an amazing teacher who really cares about her students so if your child comes to mariner and has her they will be the happiest student ever! GO TRITONS!!!!
They continue to go through leadership changes, 3 in six years. I have found them to be inconsistent and this shows through in their teachers. They do not really want parent involvement but are required to go through the motions for district standards.
I have had two daughters go through Mariner and had great success. Sure there were ups and downs, but I think highly of the school. they were always educated and safe while they were there. Thanks Mariner for two well balanced great kids.
Mariner is the best school ever. I love how you can be friends with kids from every grade level at mariner. It's like on big family. Go tritons !!
Mariner High is the best ever! The staff and the kids there are amazing and make you feel like your family. I would not transfer anywhere else! Go Tritons!
This school has been great, although I had several tough experiences, they were learning experiences, and I was surrounded by people who cared.
I'm currently a freshman in the mst academy at mariner high school, and i love it! Mariner is the only school i've ever been to where i actually feel like someone has my back and is there for me constantly, 24/7. The teachers are amazing and my classmates and friends are awesome! I really feel as if i'm in a family environment at this school. You have no idea how comforting that is. I'm so thankful i got into mariner, and i'm so thankful i got into mst. Go fightin' tritons!
Not only am I a parent of a current Freshman, I am a former student of Mariner. I loved the school when I attended and I was thrilled when my daughter was accepted into the new MST Academy at Mariner. The teachers have been great and the curriculum is challenging. I understand the frustration that some others have talked about regarding the FCAT emphasis, but that is a state-wide problem. When we all decide to get together to help fix the problem, instead of just complaining, then maybe the focus will go back to educating our children to compete in a global marketplace.
I am currently a mhs freshman and the teachers, staff, and others are great! The coaches are the best, great attitudes and determination!!!!
My Child is in Drama/Choir and there is little support from the school, if Drama or Choir is your childs strength than look to NFM of the Arts Not Mariner High School
i am now a sophomore at mhs and its been awesome! grat teachers and classmates sports are the best i say this as a v-ball palyer and track runner =]
this school is the best high school i have attented so far.. they r very welcoming and we help you with what ever you need!
My daughter graduated from Mariner in 2006 and is entering her sophomore year at FGCU. My son will be a senior at Mariner this year. The guidance staff has been wonderful for preparing both my children for college. The principal is very involved with the school and students and he is very approachable. My children both have received wonderful educations from Mariner High School. The sports teams are fantastic as well as the band. We are very happy with Mariner.
I am a soon to be junior at Mariner high, and I know my next two years will be as fabulous as the previous two. Coming in as a freshman from Trafalgar middle, I was nervous but the year I was admitted the freshman orientation program, The Triton Academy, was implemented. All year I was in classes, lunch, and meetings with fellow freshman. It gave me the opportunity to really get to know my class on much more comfortable level, while getting me used to the school itself. Triton Academy helped me immensely become a triton, interested in doing good for the community and myself. I take advanced classes, and while they are challenging the teachers, who have vast experience are helpful and encouraging every step of the way. We have a beautiful campus outdoors, with an extraordinary amount of extracurriculars including a phenomenal art and drama department. Fantastic school overall!
I am very disappointed with the communication from the teachers. I can't get a teacher to call me back after 4 messages left requesting a call back. I feel the education my child is receiving isn't preparing her at all for the future.
Mariner High School offers has offered to much to my children. The principal there is so supportive and actually gets down to my high schoolers level. She loves the school and ever since attending Mariner High has had a desire to be at school. The academic areas are unbelievebly unlimited and offer a wide variety of foreign languages. There are numerous chances that I take to be invloved with. The choices with this school are unlimited.
