I went to the school at 12:30pm on 2/20/12 to get information because we are moving from Virginia to Florida. The lady at the front desk said to come back at 1:30 because all of the guidance counselors were at lunch. I asked if I could meet the principal and was told no. I came back at 1:30, signed in, was given a sticker badge to wear and was directed to the guidance office. The lady at the front desk said there was no one there to talk to me and asked what questions I had. She couldn't answer my questions and wrote down email addresses for me to contact. I told her I didnt come 900 miles to get email addresses, and she never let me speak to anyone. I went back to the main office and told them what happened. They apologized but didn't offer to let me speak to anyone. I ripped off the nametag and told them that I probably wouldn't send my daughter to a school where I felt unwelcome. I told them things are obviously different in that part of the country, and I was going to see if Harmony High is any better.

My son says that his 9th grade year at CHS turned out to be the best year of all his school years so far. The AVID program has been wonderful. Administration and the teachers have been great. The theater program is excellent. My son is looking forward to another great year there.

CHS has great honors and ap programs but the staff at CHS are unprofessional. The staff only cares about themselves and they are unproductive. Overall Celebration High School is a good school if you re in honors and ap classes. However, if you re an regular student then you are expected to fail and teachers have little expectation for you. Also, regular student are treated below honors and ap students. The new IB program is great! Florida education system isn t very good.

We feel my child was systematically ostracized and segregated to the office. I was meeting with the school and getting nowhere weekly and talking with them almost daily. So, I took him out of this school and enrolled him into another where he's doing great! Staff was unhelpful and seemed quite unwilling to investigate my concerns. My child felt "picked on" by staff. I'm already talking with the governors office about this.

I personally would not send my child to this school. Regardless of the IB program the test scores still remain BELOW state averages in most areas (and Fl is not known for the best schools so scores are low to begin with) The town is clearly divided between public and private school with most of the residents attending private school. Not because it is "easier" as one poster suggested but because it offers a more well rounded education that isn't effected by the never ending Osceola County school budget cuts. When we moved here in 2007 my son attended CHS and came home daily telling me he hated school. (He is an A student) We kept him there 3 months and then switched to private school. I really wanted this school to work. I moved here without looking into schools and thought the community was "too perfect' for the school to be anything but perfect as well. Whether the school is rated an A or a D the test scores and graduation rate speak for themselves.

Celebration High School is an excellent school, it has recently been named an 'A' school by the state. Many Celebration town residents don't send their children there due to the mixing of people within the town and the "outsiders", instead they choose to enroll their children in private schools where the students say "it's easier than public school". But with Celebration High Schools new IB program and excellent AP classes it offers, it is really turning it's reputation around. As a resident of Celebration and a Celebration High School Student, I would recommend it to everyone!

I am about to finish my 3rd year at Celebration High School and i plan on attending it for my senior year. Personally i think this school is very good. Alot of the teachers are great, very helpful, and caring. There are also a few lousy teachers, but nothing is perfect. The student body is pretty well mixed, and there are very nice people. Alot of the kids here are open minded and are willing to get to know you, even if you guys wouldnt be from the same clique. Over all i sincerelly do like my school, and i couldnt see my self anywhere else.
