My son was transfered into the Pre-K program a couple years ago. He had behavior problems and other learning disabilities. The teachers and therapists were always patient and kind and gave my family understanding into his problems. I never felt alone. He is happy now and thanks to the teachers, he can communicate effectively and has friends. As a family, we can go to the library because he knows what to do there and how to act and that you need a quiet voice. We can go out to eat as a family and WAIT, because as a classroom they waited until each student received their meal before they started to eat. There was daily notes to parents about their day, except for WED.. the shortend day. The teachers really believed in your child. The sad part was that I wasn't so sure that the school's leadership always belived in them. It is a clean and safe school that tries to have "extras" for parent involvement but without making a school fundamental, you can't make a parent get involved, show up or give. Good Job Teachers and Therapists.
I have been nothing but impressed with this school since my son started. He's in a special ed class and went from a class of 20 in Tampa to 5 here. The quality of teaching, experience and everything overall are leaps and bounds above what we've experienced so far.
Frontier is an 'A' school and the teachers are wonderful. They have a vary of options for extracurricular activities. Parent involvement i think would be like 40%. I would like to see more Parent and Teacher invlovement with the PTA.
My son started kindergarten in this school last year. He liked the teacher, the students and the field trips as well as the typical classroon routine. He could not read at all when he started but just after Christmas he was reading practically every thing. Cereal boxes, letters from his Grandmother, even the captions that race across the bottom of the TV. I really liked the school in general. Good level of safety, nice and capable teachers, clean, and friendly office staff.
Great atmosphere! Friendly neighborhood! Great classrooms! Exellent learning enviroment. Too bad Pinellas county already filled it up and won`t be accepting new enrollmrnts. Unless, ofcourse you have a permanent position on the school board.
