Enrollment at this school has really dropped. In order to cut costs they have consolidated classrooms. Now the rooms are over crowded with ratios of 1:22 when it used to be 1:15. This has really hurt the kids.
I had my child here and OLL and have to say that GACS is the better choice if you want to send your child to a local Catholic school.
My children both go to Guardian Angels and they are straight A students. The teachers are fantastic.
Both our loving daughters have attented this school since kindergarten . Our oerall experience has been awesome and very rewarding .Like everything in life it all starts at the top.. Hats off to the best leader and principal mrs. Malinski ! as I think about my daughter getting ready to graduate this year from guardian angels catholic school I just have to say to all the wonderful teachers and staff thank you for participating in raising 'our little angels'
Our child has been attending GACS since kindergarten. We feel this school is exceptional. We drive 16 miles each way to attend GACS. It is a caring, fun environment and a great place to learn.
I have had five of my children attend GACS (so far) and have been very pleased with the caring enviroment and the quality of education. My oldest child was a rather average student when he transferred to GACS, but ended the year on the honor roll! The teachers at this school are terrific. They love what they do and they seem to get to know all the kids in the school. It feels like a family. The parents are also very active here which helps a lot.
We searched all of the local Catholic schools and GACS was by far the best. The entire staff was welcoming. Our daughter was comfortable from day one. We could not be more pleased with our decision. The safety of the school is top notch. The curriculum is excellent and engaging. The atmosphere is comfortable. The partnership with parents is key. We love it here and will be here for quite a while.
Hello, I am an eight grader in GACS. I dislike this school a lot. I would recommend sending your children there until 5th grade than leave. I have thought about leaving the school several times the only thing keeping me hear are my great friends. The teachers are very strict and not fun.
GACS has a very cookie cutter approach. For children that fit the 'norm' they will probably do well but do not expect any help from the administration if your child falls out of the norm. We have multiple children in the school and have had very mixed results. We have seriously considered removing our children from the school. Academics appear very average at best and discipline is high. Some teachers have been great, others not so much.
Our daughter attend Guardian Angels and is currently in 1st grade. This school has a very progressive curriculum using a themed approach the children learn about a specific theme and use that in every other aspect of their learning. As an example our daughter learned all about rainforests, the arctic and antarctic in kindergarten. She is now ready and spelling very well. The art and music programs are wonderful and Spanish is taught from kindergarten. This school has a warm welcoming environment where the children are encouraged to work to the best of their ability. The teachers are also warm and welcoming and very accessible. Overall we love GACS.
