Our family has been attending Guardian Angels for the past 7 years. Our daughter has learned beyond her grade level in all areas of education. Her confidence in standing in front of people to give a report or presentation is from the consistent opportunities the school provides. Our son will be more than prepared for his First Eucharist because of the strong religious education he is receiving. In light of recent national events, Guardian Angels has increased their already excellent safety procedures. When we originally toured the school, we were impressed by the teachers' interactions with the students and we are still beyond pleased with how caring and knowledgeable the teachers are with each child. As a parent, I am eager to participate in my children's education and GACS offers many opportunities to be a part of the everyday learning process. In my opinion, Guardian Angels is one of the best things we have done for our children and their future.

This is our 8th year at Guardian Angels and we couldn't be more pleased. Our children are receiving the very best faith-based education. By the time they reach middle school they are academically superior and test well beyond their peers at other K-8 schools. The principal, Mrs. Cindy Malinski, knows each and every student and greets them by name. GACS is a special place.

Guardian Angels is an amazing school with great teachers and staff. My children really enjoy and look forward to school each day. The school has a great felling of community and love from the moment you walk in. Each morning at drop off the principal, Mrs. Malinski is outside with a huge smile on her face welcoming the children and greeting them all by name. It is such a great feeling to know that your children are not known by administration as a "student number", they are known by who they are and everyone really does know their name. One of the greatest achievements the school has had recently is the "No Place For Hate" designation. Knowing that when we drop our children off every monring that they are in a loving, accepting enviornment speaks volumes. The communication between teacher and parent is transparent - there are never any suprises, from academia to behavior. Student are known to test above grade level across the board. I absolutely love Guardian Angels and would reccommend them to anyone.

Guardian Angels not only helps to guide a child's education but more importantly the person. Through the use of communications via portals, newsletters, emails, and when necessary phone calls. Further more, it has staged my children to succeed at the next level. I have had 2 graduates form this school and both are excelling in a rigorous IB program while maintaining both club and sports activities. The clubs and sports activity involvement were also traits they learned to enjoy while at Guardian Angels. I would recommend this school to anyone and often do.

My husband and I think that this is one of the best catholic schools around. The education level is above all others that we have investigated our children to attend. The staff is awesome and attentive to all children. We have both of our children there and will until they graduate to high school. It is one school that does not accept bullying from anyone. They teach and protect the children. The faith is instilled in the children from day one. We feel when we placed our children there that we made a great fit for them and us.

Enrollment at this school has really dropped. In order to cut costs they have consolidated classrooms. Now the rooms are over crowded with ratios of 1:22 when it used to be 1:15. This has really hurt the kids.

I had my child here and OLL and have to say that GACS is the better choice if you want to send your child to a local Catholic school.

Our child has been attending GACS since kindergarten. We feel this school is exceptional. We drive 16 miles each way to attend GACS. It is a caring, fun environment and a great place to learn.

I have had five of my children attend GACS (so far) and have been very pleased with the caring enviroment and the quality of education. My oldest child was a rather average student when he transferred to GACS, but ended the year on the honor roll! The teachers at this school are terrific. They love what they do and they seem to get to know all the kids in the school. It feels like a family. The parents are also very active here which helps a lot.

We searched all of the local Catholic schools and GACS was by far the best. The entire staff was welcoming. Our daughter was comfortable from day one. We could not be more pleased with our decision. The safety of the school is top notch. The curriculum is excellent and engaging. The atmosphere is comfortable. The partnership with parents is key. We love it here and will be here for quite a while.

Hello, I am an eight grader in GACS. I dislike this school a lot. I would recommend sending your children there until 5th grade than leave. I have thought about leaving the school several times the only thing keeping me hear are my great friends. The teachers are very strict and not fun.

GACS has a very cookie cutter approach. For children that fit the 'norm' they will probably do well but do not expect any help from the administration if your child falls out of the norm. We have multiple children in the school and have had very mixed results. We have seriously considered removing our children from the school. Academics appear very average at best and discipline is high. Some teachers have been great, others not so much.

Our daughter attend Guardian Angels and is currently in 1st grade. This school has a very progressive curriculum using a themed approach the children learn about a specific theme and use that in every other aspect of their learning. As an example our daughter learned all about rainforests, the arctic and antarctic in kindergarten. She is now ready and spelling very well. The art and music programs are wonderful and Spanish is taught from kindergarten. This school has a warm welcoming environment where the children are encouraged to work to the best of their ability. The teachers are also warm and welcoming and very accessible. Overall we love GACS.

I'm in eigth grade at Guardian Angels and i like it very much. We have teachers who make learning fun. Soon we are going on some field trip to the mahaffy theater for music class. G.A.C.S. classes include Reading Writing, Math, Advanced Math, Science, Religion, History,P.E, Spainish, Computers, Art, Music, and Media. We also have many sports such as Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Vollyball, Track & Field, Golf, and an undefeated bowling team. As far as private schools go it's pretty cheap too. I think parents and students(although it's impossible to completly like any school becuase of work) will like this school. Written by Gordo Grade8 Class of 2006!

Our son has attended GACS since first grade and is now preparing to enter 6th grade. We have been so pleased with this school that we made the financial sacrifices necessary to send our daughter to kindergarten there as well. In addition to the excellent teachers and staff, they offer a sound, friendly, safe enviroment in which our children have thrived. They celebrate achievements, recognize effort and truly advocate for EACH students success. Your child is not just a number, in an assigned seat, in an overwhelming school system. It's education on a much more personable level and we love it!!!!!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
