This school teaches us alot if you have the right teachers. Some teachers are very helpful and make learning fun. On the other hand there are some teachers that are as boring as can be and you don't learn much. Some kids at our school are really mean, and others are nice, which you get in every school, but the school does it's best to try and stop it, like bullying programs, and such.

I am in 8th grade currently at this school. There is not much time left in the school year. A teacher has been fired and the entire school has been blown away by his firing. During the 8th grade I have had experiences where I do not feel safe and others have made me feel that way. There is alot of people at that school and you will get insulted alot. Very typical of a common middle school. I do not recommend people to attend it. The only good thing is Mr. Tolmach he is a very helpful teacher( He teaches band ). Gray middle school and windy middle school are much alike it but I believe are better. This is only my opinion

I am a sixth grade student at Clermont Middle School. Unfortuanately, I'm transfering to Windy Hill because my family has moved. Being at CLMS was one of the best experiences of my life. The teachers there are nice and actually there and the students are very friendly. The teachers make sure the students understand what they are teaching before they move on. The activities there are also great. They just had talent show auditions and although I won't go there, I know it'll be a great success. They have great sports teams and they all work hard, not only to win, but to also have fun. CLMS is the best school.

Never before have I encountered such rock solid, sensitive, thoughtful administration and I have worked in several school districts. As quality comes from the top down, this is so essential. The teachers are, for the most part, diligent and dedicated. The extracurricular activities, though plentiful, would be more so if it were not for the focus on FCAT scores, something forced on all public schools by the current NCLB system. The result of this is that students who need PE the most are often stuck in 7 straight periods of academics because of low FCAT scores. Some of these failing students would shine if the curriculum was more vocational yet vocational education hardly exists in Florida. This is a shame as this state needs people in the trades desparately. If the DOE could only partner with the needs of the community, how wonderful that would be!

So far, my grandson has been attending Clermont Midddle School for 2 months and it has been a very positive experience for him. He attended a very good private school in New York City for seven years. I am so happy that Clermont has given him a school environment that he enjoys going to everyday. He loves the curricullum, teachers and students. I am very please. Keep up the good job Clermont Administrators. Sincerely, A Grandma with Peace of Mind : )
