My daughter has been given a challenge academically and found very nurturing teachers and staff in the lower school. There are a multitude of enrichment actuvies that allow her to try new things. We have been very happy at this school and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great balance of challenge and allowing the kids to be kids
This school deserves only a one star rating for so many reasons. There is no teacher support from administration and many teachers are fired and let go each spring for no apparent reason, creating a very high teacher turnover rate. Because parents pay so much money for their children to go here, administration always sides with the parent when there is a problem with student behavior or grades. The result is grade inflation and passing students on to the next level - the school is a cash cow and run like a corporation, not a place of learning. The students are so coddled by administration (and some teachers) to the point they have no discipline and are not held accountable for their actions. Behavior on field trips is appalling. The school brags about its lower school but the students enter middle school barely able to read, do simple math, or find the United States on a map. I feel sorry for graduating seniors because they are definitely not ready for the real world, much less college. Some of that is the fault of the parents, however, as the student body is made up of a lot of spoiled rich kids that are used to getting what they want and never having to work for it. Don't waste your money sending your child to this school.
Unprofessional school. Every year teacher turnover in high school, which is not good when your child is graduating and the teacher leaving no longer cares about grades. Terrible communication with High school principal, does not return phone calls or emails, even though website says 24 hours that is not true. My child has been at this school 6 years, much better school 3 years ago. For twenty thousand a year and more they don't care enough about the student only about the money!! Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale have better private schools
This school is amazing and full of opportunities! The academics are by far one of the bests in South Florida and the spots teams are spectacular! In conclusion I personally say that this school is amazing and I really recommend it!
This is our child's 4th year at North Broward Prep and we could not be happier. My son is a 10th grader now and as previous commentators have pointed out, there has been some turnover but it has served to make the school stronger. My son is thrilled with his teachers, especially in math and science and has become an accomplished musician. He has really blossomed and we are so happy.
