The after care program at Imagine Charter School at Broward is based on the school year. The fee is $1800 per year based on 180 school days and it is broken down into 10 equal monthly payments. The payment information is posted clearly in our enrollment packet that all parents must sign. In addition, we are always available by phone, email or in person from 7am to 6pm for any questions or concerns. I hope this clarifies the fees for after care.
We have been at the school sine day 1. We felt this was a school that we could voice our opinion, be involved and help the school we have chosen to continue to grow which we did not find in the A school which we are zoned for. We have not been disappointed. Our children have excelled and love the school. Yes, there are always changes and growth at the school which come with uncharted waters but staying in communication with all of their teachers and the principal which we have done sine the beginning has proven to make our Imagine experience great. Being a Charter school they rely heavily on parent involvement so If you are interested in being involved in your child's education which they believe is the cornerstone to success in school, and like a small environment then this is the school for you!
Love this school. Great experience!! My kids love it there. They have had great teachers. Especially like the new aftercare - my kids never want to leave!!!
Wonderful school! Our children have attended for several years and we've had a great experience with the teachers, faculty and staff. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a quality educational experience.
The staff at this school was ONCE excellent. Now you have a horrible principal who is only concerned with saving money to fatten her pockets at the end of the year. You have teachers who are inexperienced. The talented teachers have moved to vetter schools. The PTO are just snobs. God forbid you disagree with anyone there, your child will be blacklisted and emotionally abused!! The damage that this principal and staff have caused my children is so ridiculous.
Great school, great office staff, great teachers. My kids have been there for 3/4 years.
My children have been going to this school for 4 years and we totally love it here. The teachers that have taught my children have been on top of their game. I am pleased as a parent that we found this school. My children qre in 2nd grade and 3rd grade. Thank you Imagne!
I have had my child at this school for years and am finally at the point where I will be pulling him out next year. When we started at the school, there was an amazing principle who knew every child and the parents that went with him/her. It was a welcoming and caring environment. Since they fired him and hired the new principle, it has taken a nose dive. While I have found her to be accessible, it's pretty much a useless meeting. I have kept him there because, for the most part, the teachers seem to care. That being said, most of the good teachers have left and been replaced with inexperienced teachers that have no clue how to communicate with the kids. When I expressed those concerns with the principle, I was given a laundry list of what's wrong with my child and am now dealing with him being singled out. Most of the parents I talk to have the same concerns, but are too afraid to say anything...now I see why. Communication is horrible and the office is a mess. My son went home with a friend last week and I had never called the school to let them know. They didn't even know he had left! We are looking for a new school because I will not put him through this again.
I have been reading some of the reviews on here, and I am not sure what school those unhappy people go to. This school is wonderful. My child has been here since it opened. There have been changes since the previous administration, but only for the better. My child is in 4th grade, and excels in academics. I believe that this school has greatly impact my child's life for the better. There is a real family feeling there. The staff is always welcoming and helps with any concerns I may have. My child's teachers are always communicating with the parents with assignments, projects and tests. Imagine is a wonderful place to send your children.
We have been part of the Imagine Charter School at Broward community since its second year. Our children's teachers are top notch! Many teachers at this school are pursuing either secondary training or higher level degrees. Since the change in office staff last year, the front office runs smoothly and is very well organized. The principal is always willing to speak with parents. When I ve spoken with her regarding any issue, she has been understanding and respectful. School communication is sent home consistently via detailed e-mail every week; which is very convenient. Overall, this is an excellent school with highly qualified teachers and administration/staff. Also, congratulations to Imagine Charter School at Broward for receiving an A rating from the State of Florida for the second year in a row!!
I have had my kids at this school since it opened. The first 2 years were pretty good, but after the first principal left, things have deteriorated.. I am in agreement with several of the other reviewers, the teachers seem to be caring, but most of the good ones have left, and there is very little consistency for the kids. In other words, the rules seem to change constantly, communication between school and home is very poor, and as a result, nobody seems to know what to expect from week to week, or month to month. The office is a hectic, disorganized mess whenever I visit. The principal is not accessable, and when she is, she is very rude and condescending to parents and students. The Project Child program is a total joke. It is supposed to be all about consistency. And as far as ESE services or any help with support services, they are pretty much non-existent, even when you put up a fight. I will be transferring my kids next year, no question.
I feel the school is adequate. They have an incredibly high teacher turnover rate and high cluster change rate which is in direct opposition to the 'Project Child' constistancy model, and can be very disruptive to some children. If your child is ESE on either side of the spectrum your needs will not be met. Look elsewhere. If you are looking for an average school that will provide you child with the minimum state required skills to move forward, this is for you. Be prepared to be engaged in a signficantly great amount of fundraising that never ever ever seems to end!
I had my son at this school for 2 years and that was the worst experience ever, the TEACHERS, ESE team and Principal did never care about my son's needs, we report many incidents of bullying and they never do anything, if you have a kid with special needs DON'T GO there, they just want your money, I wish to knew that before, but I learn in the hard way. And I want other parents to be aware of the situation.
Imagine Charter School in Coral springs is an excellent school. They do not let children get away with anything. They are always in contact with the parents and they make sure that the student stays good. My child has been an A B student since she has started this school. When she was in a public school she was struggling. I am so blessed to have my child in this school. The staff ,teachers and prinicipal Mrs. Arnold they are all so caring and make Imagine Charter such a great school. I hope they build a high School for our 8th graders going into 9th grade. That would be a blessing.
The new principal and teachers at the school are all excellent and very professional. My children are being challenged daily in a way they never were at our A rated neighborhood school. Classroom instruction is data driven and differentiated according to each child's ability. Children work in Cooperative groups together to learn and teach each other with the teacher working with them as a guide and not a boring "sage on the stage". If you want your child sitting in rows listening to a teacher drone on and on, then this isn't the place for you. The new principal sets rules for parents and staff that were not there in previous years and as such, expectations are much higher. Parents can no longer walk into any door of the building and surprise their child's teachers, and as such, the building is a much safer place for the children.
This is our first year at the school and since the beggining it has been a greate experience!!!!! I don't know what the people is talking about when they say the principal is not caring and the staff at the office is rude.....Because they are not!!! I have been volunteer quite often at school and never had a problem with anybody only with the parents that demand and demand and they themselves don't do much to help . The traffic at dismissal might have have some issues that were taken care off...only problem with that was and still is the parents not following directions.....But the school, the staff and the TEACHERS are awsome!!!! and one more point if the previous principal was fired I believed it wa for a good reason....(if they say he was all that good..)
This is my son's first year at Imagine Charter at Broward and we absolutely love it! His cluster of teachers are amazing and I can't thank them enough for doing such a wonderful job. He loves to go to school every day and is very proud of his accomplishments. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a better education for their children!!
We have been at this school since the first first year, and my children are doing well. There have been a lot of changes due to the new principal and some new administrative staff, but I think for the most part, things are going well. If you visit during the day, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the kids seem happy. The teachers are caring, and the "cluster" program works well. My kids were in the same cluster and we got to know the teachers very well, almost like family members. Overall, I think they are doing a good job.
the caring, one-on-one attention by teachers and staff makes this school A+++++++
Charter schools are "schools of choice" that promise a better education, innovative approaches and imporved achievement levels. It is up to us-the parents- to hold them to that promise.
