Center Academy is the best school my son ever attended! He used to say that he hated school before, but on his first week at CA he came home very excited that he was finally learning. That helped his self steem and gave us hope. He's now a senior, and oddly enough, I feel sad, that he's finishing High School, mixing feelings, because he's not going to get the same understanding, help, caring and attention that's used to. Mr. Nelson is a great teacher, actually all teachers are terrific, I never had any doubts about their skills, but Mr. Nelson is "the man". Mrs. Cooper also made such a difference, it was great already before her, but her energy, focus and idealism pumped up the whole structure. I can stay here all day praising the wonderful job this school has done in my son's and our lives...but I don't think anybody will read everything anyway...lol...do your homework, and go check this school out! Way to go Center Academy! thanks for all the hard work!
My son was struggling in public school so I was desperate to find an alternative learning environment for him. Miraculously, Center Academy is only a mile from my home. From the first visit, I could sense the difference in the level of concern and caring for the children and their education. This is my son's second year at Center Academy and I am thrilled to announce that it was been a Godsend to my son and my family. We cannot give enough praise to the teachers and staff. Now I am confident that my son will be successful.
Thank you Ms. Cooper and the entire staff at Center Academy. My daughter is a Senior and couldn't be happier at school. The individualized attention and challenging classes are what make this Coral Springs private school so successful. Thank you for helping my daughter with her self confidence and wonderful academic assistance.
Center academy had made a huge improvement to my child's eduction, social life, and at life at home. Before my child started center academy he struggled at school with learning and sf confidence. Center academy had change my child for the better and has helped relieve stress and tension in our family at home.
My son David has been in public school, very unhappy and frustrated. Ms. Cooper, Director, is always there for me and my son. David feels comfortable to talk with her and ask questions. Ms. Cooper is very professional, compassionate and easy to talk to, for David and me. Mr. Nelson is a great role model, mentor and teacher for David. The past five months have made a positive change in Davids" motivation and learning skills. His self esteem has improved, he made friends at this school, when he tries hard, he is successful. Mr. Nelson is very good at explaining concepts to David and the rest of the class. I look forward to Davids' next two years at this school, I know he is in a good place with such dedicated people.
Center Academy, Coral Springs, FL. I cannot thank Center Academy enough for the outstanding academic care they have given my daughter. The School Director has gone above and beyond to ensure my daughter feels right at home and is comfortable with her school work, surroundings at the same time giving her the confidence needed to conduct daily tasks. I look forward to my daughter enjoying many years of Center Academy. It is a relief to know this school is in our lives.
My son attended public school from K-7 and was diagnosed with a learning disability at an early age. In the middle of seventh grade we enrolled him in Center Academy. He went from D's & F's to A's & B's and more importantly his self esteem and overall happiness has shined through. I can't say enough about CA and what's it done for my family. I would HIGHLY recommend CA to any parent.
My son was diagnosed with a learning disability after he was failing the 10th grade. (He was on the "A" honor roll until he began high school. After a lengthy battle, we took him out of public school, but still didn't know how he was going to finish his education. We found Center Academy 2 weeks before he was supposed to start 11th grade. This is the best thing that I could have ever hoped for for my son. He is getting A's and B's again, and he actually likes going to school because he has his confidence back. He is excelling and really likes his teacher. We couldn't be happier! We went from being at a complete loss to talks of what college he wants to attend.
Excellent private school , The Teachers are great with giving indvidual attention. The Director Mrs. Cooper is a postive attribute to the school the director and teachers make you feel comfortable and are informative about where your child is at.
This is a great school with the guidence of Ms Paul the schools Director who is very warm and caring about all the needs of all the students that attend the school. The whole staff that works there is great I highly recommend this school.
This is a very special school for very special kids. My son has attended Center Academy fo six years and has flourished in his academics and social experience. The combination of a nurturing and structured environment helped him to become a confident well rounded student. For kids who have learning and social challanges, it is ideal. They have over the years made efforts to grow with the academic standards, and though they may not offer language or after school programs, they do have in house events and field trips. For kids who have difficulty with language skill to begin with this school has done wonders in bringing my son up to the level he should be which was our priority. I am very pleased with how the school is run and would highly recommend Center Academy for any student with learning disabilities, it is really a custom made fit.
When your child has a learning disability, I think it is very hard to find a school that isn't too easy or too hard and a school that does not have all the discipline problems that public schools try to get rid of. They do a good job of teaching students who are more self motivated. They have many curriculums to work with and a grading system that assists children in mastering their subjects. There are some behavior issues, that I think should be dealt with more quickly. There are no social activities or extra-curricular activites.
I am very proud to say my son, Kyle, graduated from Center Academy. The graduation ceremony that Center Academy provided to the students and their family members will always hold dear to my heart. I can't thank Center Academy enough for their countless hours that are put towards their students. I highly recommend this school to any parent that wants the best education for their child that has a learning disability.
The school is more interested in my child 's dress code and cellphone than her learning disability. It is sad when she can sit in a classroom and do nothing when there are 2 teachers for 20 students.
