My son attended public school from K-7 and was diagnosed with a learning disability at an early age. In the middle of seventh grade we enrolled him in Center Academy. He went from D's & F's to A's & B's and more importantly his self esteem and overall happiness has shined through. I can't say enough about CA and what's it done for my family. I would HIGHLY recommend CA to any parent.

My son was diagnosed with a learning disability after he was failing the 10th grade. (He was on the "A" honor roll until he began high school. After a lengthy battle, we took him out of public school, but still didn't know how he was going to finish his education. We found Center Academy 2 weeks before he was supposed to start 11th grade. This is the best thing that I could have ever hoped for for my son. He is getting A's and B's again, and he actually likes going to school because he has his confidence back. He is excelling and really likes his teacher. We couldn't be happier! We went from being at a complete loss to talks of what college he wants to attend.

Center Academy has done wonders for my daughter. This is her first year attending and I can already see a HUGE difference in her attitude and disposition just in the first few weeks of attending. The attention to detail from the staff and their positive influence have helped her socially and academically . I cannot say enough good about Center Academy -doesn't get any better than this!

My son had three nightmare years in middle school (public). We fought to get him into the ESE program but did not get in until 8th grade. Then the school and teachers did not support him at all, citing way too many kids and no time to give him any attention. I searched for a private shcool and found Center Academy one mile from home. My son has only been there two months, but the transformation is remarkable. I cannot compliment this school enough on the caring staff, incredible teachers and the warm, inviting environment. I thought I lost my son, but he has been reborn. I now have my son back and can only thank Center Academy for bringing him back to life. His grades are excellent and his confidence is soaring. For any parent that feels the public school system is not serving their child, please check out this school. No child should be treated the way my child was and he is lucky I am a fighter or it could have been worse. At Center Academy, the teachers and staff understand my son's challenges and treat him like the smart boy he is. The individualized study plan has proved to be the key to his success.

This is a very special school for very special kids. My son has attended Center Academy fo six years and has flourished in his academics and social experience. The combination of a nurturing and structured environment helped him to become a confident well rounded student. For kids who have learning and social challanges, it is ideal. They have over the years made efforts to grow with the academic standards, and though they may not offer language or after school programs, they do have in house events and field trips. For kids who have difficulty with language skill to begin with this school has done wonders in bringing my son up to the level he should be which was our priority. I am very pleased with how the school is run and would highly recommend Center Academy for any student with learning disabilities, it is really a custom made fit.

When your child has a learning disability, I think it is very hard to find a school that isn't too easy or too hard and a school that does not have all the discipline problems that public schools try to get rid of. They do a good job of teaching students who are more self motivated. They have many curriculums to work with and a grading system that assists children in mastering their subjects. There are some behavior issues, that I think should be dealt with more quickly. There are no social activities or extra-curricular activites.

I am very proud to say my son, Kyle, graduated from Center Academy. The graduation ceremony that Center Academy provided to the students and their family members will always hold dear to my heart. I can't thank Center Academy enough for their countless hours that are put towards their students. I highly recommend this school to any parent that wants the best education for their child that has a learning disability.

The school is more interested in my child 's dress code and cellphone than her learning disability. It is sad when she can sit in a classroom and do nothing when there are 2 teachers for 20 students.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
