Based on my experience in this school for years, it is an okay school for academics, but for faith- I saw and heard things through the years from a few of the teachers, and etc, that I don't think it is a great spiritual place. There are teachers there now, that have pagan's beliefs and I heard it from their mouths. That it is why to me, it not a great Christian place. They do attend church and serve in their home church according to what they have said. Hopefully, the LORD will convict them from those beliefs. I am glad for the parents that have had a better experience, and it is still better than public school.
I am a former CSCA parent. My children graduated from the school. They both attend college and are doing well. But more important is the character they have as young men. CSCA helped to build their character. I think the current Administration is making positive changes which needed to be made. No school is perfect. I have observed much less favoritism than the previous administration. Good Luck CSCA. Continue teaching and caring for God's precious children.
Sweet and precious school, with solid academics and the presence of the Holy Spirit. The new Headmaster is clearly making decisions led by his heavenly Father - hard ones - that are for the betterment of the school. This school is absolutely going through a period of transition - no question - but is heading in the right direction.
This school has its ups and downs areas, but it is still the best school in this area. I have visited different schools looking for something better, because of its down areas, but I have come to the final decision, so far, till now it's the best in Coral Springs. I believe the LORD is removing teachers and staff that don't bear good fruit, but we have to keep praying for this school.
As a parent, I am very disappointed with the experience at CSCA this year. The academic program is very basic and does not meet the needs of advanced students. There is a culture of gossip and unprofessionalism among the staff and administration. Bullying is a significant problem in the upper school.
Dear readers ,i am slightly disapointed at the comments of some of our fellow Christian parents.I have never experienced christianity with the beauty of private school all in one.The teachers are patient and beautiful, coaches are dynamic and last but not least the Headmaster is a class act, kind, respectful and protective of our children.I don't bother with the inner politics or gossip, thats not what i send my children there for, i wanted my children to excel and receive top education and by the grace of god they have.My dear readers i am not here to stroke no ones ego but more so to set the record strait.I am a proud overprotective parent of three and i will send them there next year.So stop the hating and slandering. One of the quotes i learn from the school is "By pointing at the splinter in someones eye we fail to see the log in our own".Its not exactly word for word but bare with me.I mean no offence and i say these thing's with all do respect.God bless our teachers, principle's, faculty an staff but above all, our children. P.s.Thank you C.S.C.A. teachers and parents for a wonderful experience.
I do not know if they complains I read in this site are at the Secondary level, but my 2 children started attending Elementary School here and we are having a great experience. Teachers are professional and loving, leadership is strong and approachable, and the academics are strong, especially the Math. They have many specials that are taught by professionals, hence, my children are really learning fundamentals of art, music, Latin, etc. These are not just "fun" subjects; these are academic. I am impressed.
I am a parent that has children that attend this school. They have been attending for a number of years. However, I am in the process of making a change. During our time here, I have been very involved in the school and find that there is a lot of favoritism based on family income, the number of children you have enrolled and how much you do for the school. I have found that children attend because they can afford to go (many not paying) rather than for a Christian education. I don t think that the academics are as good as they should be either. My kids get A's without studying and barely bring home any homework. The school is dirty (cafeteria smells and is infested with ants) and the teachers seem to have lost their love of teaching. The moral standards do not seem to be followed by the entire student body with the punishment system not being equal for all. In addition, the gossip runs ramped there with both parents and staff not showing Christian behavior. Although it is true that no one school is perfect, expectations should be higher for a Christian school. Sadly, for a lot of parents, these expectations aren t being met
My daughter attended this school last year for Kindergarten and it was an excellent experience. I will say that i am not one of those parents with a "big bank account" and never felt my child was treated any differently. She excelled there and we fell in love with the teachers. One critism-many activities are held during working hours which makes it difficult for working parents to attend...which suck for the children. They could be more considerate of working families in that respect. Other than that the school is great!
I am suprised by the negative comments. Dr. Bryan is a blessing to the school and our children and is commited to educational excellence. My daughter is excelling in every subject and was reading before entering kindergarten, she is now moving on to the first grade and is reading at a third grade level and far more advanced then other children I know who attending public school. The amazing thing is that usually you have that one child who shines, however every child in her class has had the seem academic success. The teachers are outstanding educators and loving Christians as well!
This is our second year at the school and both of our children our thriving. I had very high expectations when starting at this school and they have been exceeded. My son knows the bible better than I do and he is only six. The academics are challenging, which is why we have our children there. The new headmaster Dr Bryan is doing a great job and I am looking forward to more positive changes from him. My wife and I work work extra hard to afford this school and it is worth it. CSCA should definitely be on your list when looking at different schools in the area.
This is an incredible school filled with teachers that sincerely care about the students in their classrooms. There are both excellent athletics at the school and performing arts as well. For those reviews that are coming from middle school students it is slightly ridiculous for them to be on here, and for the reviews slandering the school by calling it dirty or the staff a fake, the plethora of reviews praising the school clearly rebut it. From preschool through 12th grade, this is a wonderful Christian environment for children to be raised.
this school is challenging but if you transfer from a different school, its too challenging. You find yourself checking homework untill 11:00 and waking up do to do it all over again. You get treated by how much money your family has how many siblings are in the school and what race you are not just by students. There's too much favoritism towards rich people. So you dont get treated like you should it may seem like it in the first few months but it wears off like a warranty or something. I am hopefully going to a new middle school next year I hope you take this seriously :)
I am very surprised by all the extreme negative comments mentioned here. No private school could thrive in any community if they were true. Our children have been attending the elementary school for the past 6 years and we cannot find evidence of the negative claims mentioned here. We are African American and have not experienced any discrimination from the faculty. CSCA provides a loving and disciplinary environment where the children can learn academically and grow spiritually. They continually look to better all the learning programs. I would highly recommend them.
I think whom ever says anything negative about the school needs to look at their own children not the school. we have been rhere for the past 4 years and could not be happier all the faculty is AMAZING! if you want good education and a safe place to put your kids in consider CSCA .
the principal and all of the faculty are so PHONY they are far from christian. they can be racist at times and really do not care. the principal is the worst calling some students ignorant and ghetto and i personally HATE it here this school is terrible for a student that is of another ethnicity than caucasian!!!
The teachers and staff dedicated and caring. The class size and school size is a perfect size. It is small enough to offer the students personalized attention and provide a family atmosphere, but large enough to offer many clubs, sports, great music programs and a wide variety of classes.
CSCA has been our school home for 10 years. Both of my children have been here since Kindergarten and have been challenged in every aspect of their education. They love it here and as a parent I know that they are loved and cared for by the teachers & staff here. The campus is older and therefore may not look as clean as some of the newer state run and paid for school, but what it lacks in newness, it makes up for in family atmosphere and quality of education.
Great school, I'm not sure where it is lacking in cleanliness as mentioned in prior posts. The teachers love the subjects they teach and try to pass that on to the students. Send your child here, or at least check it out.
We found the teachers to be very caring and the school community as a whole to be very friendly. Our daughter was there for 5 years; our son for 10. I did not find the campus to be dirty, it's just an older facility. Parents are given a great deal of 'voice' in the way things are done, but then if their kid gets disciplined there are sometimes 'sour grapes.' In my opinion, that's why some of these reviews are so negative...
