There is way too much favoritism in the school. Discipline is based not upon the offense, but instead it is based upon reputation, number of years at the school, or number of siblings at the school. This 2016-2017 school year has been a wreck with the administration handling a couple of incidents very poorly. If you're looking for a good place to send your highschooler, look elsewhere.
Our family wanted to believe this was a great school. We gave this school 3 years to get it right and they failed miserably. The last straw was an incident that took place at the school that was not acceptable and put children in a horrible situation involving 2 male students in the restroom. This type of behavior is unacceptable at a private school. We pay 11,000 a year so our kids are protected from this sort of thing. Also, the education is horrible.Send your kids some place else! Not here!!
Please be very careful when considering this school . The judgemental attitude from the administration as well as the selective discipline administered to the students based on which church you attend is criminal. The best way to really get an understanding of the quality of this school is to ask a former teacher who would tell you of ignored bullying, and other abuses while the faculty spent most of its time teaching a narrow doctrine of the most judgmental brand of Christianity. As stated before ask a former teacher
I have been going to CSCA for 8 years. Through my tome of growth, the teachers and students have been encouraging me throughout the years. Because of the small school, students have the chance to interact with each other and befriend the teachers where as you don't get that at other schools. All of the teachers are so loving and actually care about the students. I have trouble focusing at home because my family is very loud, but one of the teachers lets me do homework in her class for as long as I want after school and she even offers to help me. You don't get that at public schools. Also, because of the small population, I was able to get a lead role in a high school play as an 8th grader because of the opportunities and I was able to run as the Vice President of 9th grade. Bullying is never an issue and it's the best thing in the world to be able to learn how to be a Christian in the world while facing the slander. The guidance counselor can customize your schedule according to your college plans and will sit down with you for 3 hours of that's what it takes to be successful. It's also very challenging, but not impossible. As a straight A student, I'd say that too often students complain about the acedemic language because they don't take the time to actually study and do homework. If you work hard, it's so easy to get an A.
This school started as a great Christian school and Ministry a long time ago, but sadly goats join the school and did lots of damage. And because kids are being taught in schools that man came from a monkey and other things that is against our faith, that G-d created us, that is why kids needs a school curriculum that is in agreement with our faith and spiritual teachers that sees teaching in a Christian school as a ministry not a classroom. For parents who believes school is school, and Church is Church, there are private schools that aren't Christian, Charter schools, regular Public schools that you can always send your children to, and about Church- you can take your children to Church on Saturdays or Sundays which one is your Sabbath. But to parents who want their children to be stronger in Christ, they need a good Christian school that knows how to teach the way the Bible teaches, because nowadays parents are working hard to support their family, and they want to decrease the chances that their kids are misled by bad association or educators who teaches against our G-d, this school needs prayer. And at the end of the school day- your children will be influence by what they learn. So Be Careful. Blessings to everyone.
Helping and teaching students to become strong Spiritual Christians, doesn't mean you have to overlook the academics, only someone who lacks education will say something like this. There are many Strong Christians who are highly educated, and there are many Christian Schools that have a strong Christian foundation, and are very high in academics. Where there is balance- There were be students on fire for the LORD, and also very highly educated. But at the end of life- Education fades away, you only will take your Salvation! I felt that the previous comment was offensive to Christians, by saying that overlooked academics, to be a full Christian. This school ran a Discovery Program years ago, that charged lots of money to the parents, but it wasn't legal, they couldn't even give you a letter to give to a real licensed therapist, because they were afraid.
