Teacher effectiveness: Strongly disagree

- a
They fired good teachers with advanced degrees and hired kids out of college with no experience just to keep the school from financially going under.

- a
They have sacrificed quality and progress ( and even the school building) to hold up a sinking school. They are unwilling and unable to spend the money they need to just to keep up the building.

- a
doesn't help kids go in the right direction

Parents, please be very careful when choosing this school. I understand it is a "Christian" school; but even that is questionable. The emphasis is on "indoctrination" rather than "education" with an emphasis on critical thinking. When my son was told that "Christopher Columbu ,(who slaughtered many indigenous people in the Caribbean) was on a mission from God to "christianize the savages", that was the last straw for me. Give students the critical thinking skills to think on their own. That involves giving accurate historical information. Money is also an issue. You have to pay close to $1000 up front for "books and supplies" which are essentially recycled and ragged text books. Consider this a donation to the church. You might have to buy your own books from Amazon as I did. The tuition is "locked" in for a year; so if you withdraw your child, you might be stuck with a tuition balance. The classes are small; but it is not an advantage. The teachers are not as qualified as the public school. The emphasis is on daily grades rather than giving students a chance to learn the material. .Since these students do not have to take Florida State standardized tests, there is no way to gauge if your child is measuring up to national standards. It presents a false sense of excellence! Do not be fooled by all the hype at orientation. i was. My child now has great teachers; and is thriving in a public school setting. Do your homework! Diversity is also a problem. Some comments have been made to black students that had racial undertones. Finally, at this "Christian" school, the teachers informed students that they voted for Donald Trump. This also factored in my decision to withdraw. I am a retired public school teacher; and also has a doctorate degree. Be very careful in choosing this school.

The Principal tried to give me a rationale for why a teacher "threw" an object from her desk at the student.

Develops character: Neutral

- a
It professes Christianity; and so it is assumed that it does. That is questionable.

Teacher effectiveness: Disagree

- a
Most of the teachers do not meet public school qualification standards.

Amount of homework: Strongly disagree

- a
There is no standard for assessing the value of homework. iI is either marked done or not done. it is endless, with no time in between to consolidate learning new material
