Forest Glen Middle School

Two of my kids attended FGMS, another is in 7th Grade and next year my last kid is coming in, I know that nothing is perfect but FGMS comes very close to it, Teachers are great, but you have to be a good parent and work with them to help your kids. We're always trying to blame someone else for our own mistakes, if you can't be there for your child why should the teachers. I've had to deal with the Assistant Principals and they help you out with your kids. To me FGMS is way a better school than Coral Springs Charter, and contrary to the other lady's comment FGMS is more informative the CSC.

This school is a joke. My daughter was bullied. They have FCAT prep on weekends so you will pass to make them look good. They are not informative at all. I had to go to the school almost weekly. Being that we are in law enforcement the school known as Forest Glen Correctional Facility for all the crime they have on a daily basis. I switched our daughter out and found the Charter Schools were better communicators as well as lower crime stats.

FOREST GLEN BEST SCHOOL EVER my daughter went to sawgrass and was bullied we talked to the principle about it but he said he would get on it but never did my daughter wanted to be moved but I didn't know where my friends husband said forest glen I moved her there and now she has the best of friends and is doing excellent in school thank you forest glen

Great School! Both my children attended this school for middle school and I cannot say enough good things about it! "A" school for many, many years! That says it all! The students are learning because of the great teachers and staff!

my name is eli and i graduated from fgms with the class of 2010 i had very kind teachers that cared about the students. ms.bobis,mrs.hoffman,mrs.bates,and ms.kimbrough and they really helped me go through my eighth grade year. my english teacher ms bobis taught me a lot of new words and helped me succeed in my freshman year at high school with a very high gpa

I honestly LOVED everything about this school. It brought amazing memories, the best of friends, lots of education, and amazing teachers. Honestly, people don't understand how hard it is to teach and i give all these administrators and teachers credit for their amazing work. I mean, yes ; Every middle school has a few fights during the year, some kind of drama, and some not-so-good teachers. But come on, give 'em all credit 'cause we're still teenagers. That's how we learn. So yes, this school was the best. I miss you FGMS.

This school is not as bad as everyone says. In my opinion if you stay away from all of the drama its not that horrible. I attended FGMS last year for 6th grade. It wasn't the greatest year ive had but ok. My favorite teachers were Mrs.Greco-Murillo,Mrs.Johnson,and Ms.Skeete. This is not a great school but if you keep to yourself its really not bad.

This school is anything but great. I agree with the other parent, if you care= trouble for you and your child. The administrators do not listen and are rude. If the teachers are wrong, good luck! Your child will not get a good education here.

For the parent that cannot get anyone at FGMS to address his/her concerns, email the Area Superintendent and Area Director. They are ultimately responsible for FGMS. Unfortunately many of the parents at this school are not paying attention to what is going on at FGMS and those that do are not welcomed. Unless, of course, you believe everything you are told and don't question anything, The atmosphere at this school is very hostile and I am not just referring to the students.

If you would like your child to continue learning how to read, I would suggest not sending them to this school. I have written letters to the Language Arts teacher and the Assistant Principal and did not receive a single reply. I have made several attempts to get in contact with Mr. McDermott but I'm always getting referred to Mr. C. I hope I have not damaged my childs education by sending her to this horrible school. This school has an A FCAT rating but if you knew what the FCAT scored on for the different grade levels you would see this is a joke of a rating.

I do not like this school because everyone enters school late, does not wear dress code, and are very rude to any random person.

I agree. I can tell you first hand that this school is the worst! I hear of fights going on way too often. There are a few good teachers at the school, however; if you value your children's lives & education, I wouldn't allow them to step one foot in that school. Extremely poor communication from the administrators. You never see the principal. If have nice things to say about the school, sure you can get him on the phone, but if you have concerns or complaints, I wouldn't waste my time waiting on a call back from him.

i'm a graduated student from this school,and i think that it is the most amazing middle school that any student could attend.it brought me wonderful friends.i would like to thank my teachers:mr.demaria,ms.bobis,mrs.hoffman,and my retired former teacher,mrs.yon.thank u for getting me through an important time in my life.thanks again to this school,and the teachers.

I attended this school for my 8thgrade year. The teachers are far by the rudest. Adminstrators are assigned to their own grades by yet they are never where they are suppose to be. Teachers alwways have an attitude and pick on students! They have their favorites who can get away with murder. Teachers are often noisy. But 2 positive things are that the school has nicefunctions and I learned alot. I was on team 8c and every teacher was rude! especially my language arts teacher who could care less.Overall excellent academically and socially but terrible in everything else!

I LOVE this school, I go there and I couldnt be any happier! The lunch needs a great amount of improvement however, and it could become a little safer. He was in the advanced program though! The non advanced program is the dangerous parts, because those teachers dont care! Im in 7th grade and its awesome! To all you haters, forest glen rocks! Best staff too!
