Excellent school. We love the staff here. The principal visits classrooms on a regular basis and really gets to know the children. Teachers are amazing, too. Volunteers are welcome. WE LOVE Eagle Ridge!

Transferring to this school has been a transformative experience for us. My child went from a labeled behavior problem with abysmal grades (at the fancy school down the street) to a stellar report card at Eagle Ridge. His teacher, Ms. Ramos, truly believed in him and made him believe that he could succeed. And he did. He brought home work that he was proud. He loved going to school. I dealt with quite a few members of the administration/PTA and every one of them was attentive and professional. The PTA has options for working parents to still stay involved. If you're unhappy with your current school, apply for a reassignment here. I wish I would have earlier.

Hi, im entering my school because its a wonderful school. Not a day gos by without seeing our principal and vice principal in the front gate to greet all the children as they walk im to school, and stand at the gate before they leave to say great job see you tomorrow. They know most ofthe kids by name. We have a very loving can caring staff, from the office to the teachers. My son has ADHD and my husband and I made a appointment with the counsel to speak of our concerns. When we entered the meeting they had the whole school staff, eight people, from the principles down to his teacher. My husband and I knew this poeple cared about our 1st grader as much as we do ;) such a loving and caring school. I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you.

My son is attending third grade at the Eagle Ridge, It is a great school with a good staff. However, my son is not getting the same attention level other schools offered to him. His tutor, recommended by the Broward County confirmed his high IQ; but his teacher has not been able to take advantage or she looks not motivated to help him succeed. It is a great school; but you have to be involved.

I have a question: We are considering moving to the area of Eagle Ridge Elementary School as we have heard great things about it. But, what middle school would the kids go to when they are done and how is it?

I have had a mixed experience some of the teachers have been great over the years and some are so inappropriate with the kids rushing and being condescending and even yelling. The principal NEVER calls back but delegates to others, the VP is awesome and warm but in meeting you do get the feeling of a run-around. All in all it's a pretty good school I just wish some of the bad teachers would be held accountable for the actions and how they chose to direct themselves to the students.

I am sorry to disagree. This is a terrible school. I wish I never enrolled my child in this school. I have nothing good to say about the principal, guidance counselor or any other staff. I have never attempted to work with such cold people in my life. They do not work with the parents and do not care for their opinions. They just do as they please without helping the children.

This is an amazing school. The principal, teachers, parents all work as a team. This family atmosphere makes Eagle Ridge the top notch school that it is. This is no doubt the BEST school in Broward County. It has a well deserved reputation for its excellence.

My children are 7 years apart and I have grown with the school as it has evolved to accommodate K-5. My children have had a wonderful experience. The PTA, administration and teachers are all a cohesive unit that support each other to make this school phenomenal!

My child has been at Eagle Ridge for his whole elementary school experience. We love the school and will be sad to move on. People know each other and the staff get to know the children. Teachers and administration are great. We would totally recommend this school!! Great PTA involvement and support.

Great school. There is a common goal here: to educate each and every student. The principal sets the tone by being a hard worker. She is in the classrooms and is very involved with the children and the teachers. She hires the best teachers and support staff. The front office staff are very friendly. My children love it here. Volunteers are always welcome. PTA is awesome and is always planning fun activities. I can say without reservations that Eagle Ridge is the best school in Broward County.

Just moved here from california. Great school. The principal welcomed us in and took us for a tour. There are so many opportunities for parents to volunteer. PTA is very involved and active. I can't get over my experience in this school since august. Highly recommend eagle ridge as a high achieving and innovative school.

Great school. They really care about their students, and treat parents like true partners. They include students with disabilities in every activity. The principal is everywhere and truly cares about children. The teachers are involved and keep parents informed. Students know what is expected of them. Everyone is happy and busy, too. Can't say it enough: best school in florida!

Excellent school-much better than any private school. Small class size, strong focus on reading across the curriculum. Only school where the principal is always available to see you! She's in the classrooms and really knows the children.

I had two small children at Eagle Ridge for two years and it was a very positive experience. In my two years at Eagle Ridge, my childern were in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It is a large school but the staff is well trained and experienced with large numbers of students starting with the Principal who is beyond spectacular and going from there. Volunteers are encouraged by the staff and I love the job the 05-06 PTA President did. I will miss Eagle Ridge and wish them nothing but the best!

Nice location and area. Principal lacks in providing her staff with support, and has zero personality in dealing with parent issues.

their first and somtimes only concern at times is Fcat. writing and other subjects do not get much time devoted. The principal is the one behind this and should not be in charge of this or any school.

New to a BIG school - felt lost and unwelcome, tried to get involved with school functions-was basically blown off and ignored. Also feel detentions are handed out way too willingly, not enough student individual attention, when a student is struggling it needs to be identified immediately, and with suggestions for help. I feel we got none of the above. Was severly disappointed in fundraising outcome of products, they were weak at best, it is a great school on paper with statistics and figures, but if I had known what I know now, my child would have attended another school or perhaps even a private school. Our Eagle Ridge experience has been disappointing, which is sad becuase when we moved to Florida we could not wait for our child to begin at Eagle Ridge. The positive note is, the Principal is very accessible and the school is clean. Loved the extra curricular activities.

As a Kindergarten mom, I have nothing to compare it to, only to say that I am really happy overall with the school. My children love going to school. The principal is always on the ball and is the only one who has 'breakfast with the principal' once a month. Other people from other schools that I have talked to said they never heard of this. It's a wonderful time to talk with her about important issues on your mind. The only thing that worries me is that although you are suppose to sign in when going into the school, the gates are open and anyone can walk in. There are always 'hiccups' and things to work out when there is a new school. Overall I love the school and most importantly, my children are HAPPY!

This school is struggling this year due to a recent reconfiguration from 4-5-6 to K-5. The administration is having a bit of a hard time getting down to the level the K-3 students need. Lack of funding has also affected the in-room supplies for the K-3 classrooms. This school has no playgrounds. A 3-5 playground will be ready for use before school end 2005, however, the K-2 has just broken ground. I do feel my child is covering alot of material in 1st grade and homework is lasting 30 -40 minutes on the average. However, I feel my 4th grader would benefit from a stricter course program. I have been disappointed in the music, art and PE programs in this district in general. Broward County has implemented a class reduction mandate and most specials are 'on wheels' in all classes. The schools in this district are almost all overcrowded.

A wonderful school! Most parents choose the option of having their 6th graders remain at Eagle Ridge so they begin middle school in the 7th grade. This innovative program makes the transition to 7th grade a smooth one for both parents and students. The after school clubs are a fun way for the students to enhance their education. Overall we found the school to be excellent in every way.

I think this is a wonderful school. Teachers are very involved with their children and it seems the principal cares about the children here. They are not just numbers but individuals.
