Teacher effectiveness: Ineffective

teachers are not all educated with degrees or teaching license. They studied maybe overseas, but that's mainly it. No teaching permits or license

Amount of homework: Too much
June 29, 2015
because of the amount of kids in the class, the kids end up doing almost all the classwork for a whole subject at home. You will end up dedicating almost 2 hours each night in homework, and on weekends

kids are stuck inside with no music or consistent art. Kids become unfocused and discouraged

not compassionate at all. They don't give inside scholarships if you have hardships either, but they advertise that they will help if a parent is in need. But all the donations to the masjid are a total secret

they were so degrading to everyone. Treated you and your child like garbage if you didn't give up your whole monthly income

NIGHTMARE AND NOT SAFE! let's start with safety. A teacher was arrested and charged with sleeping with 10-12 year old girls, and he and his wife then fled to Guyana. School notified after it aired on tv. Cameras are not working in the school. Someone's car was broken into facing a camera, and the school then admitted cameras are for show only. Little girls using boys bathrooms. The class has 1 teacher and by the end of the school year, the class has one teacher for 35 kids. Little kids walk out the class and sometimes the teacher are overwhelmed and don't notice. The academics then suffer. They will have one part time "assistant" teacher hopping classes to fill a spot, but never a full time assistant teacher for each class. Principal Rubina is a joke along with the owner. The school is not Islamic, especially with Sr. Maria being a side belly dancer (she dances for the parties and offering her services that way, so it's not hidden). Kids are not allowed to have music because they claim it is "haram". If you are a working parent, this school will NOT work for you. They constantly cancel aftercare the day of, and call you 10 minutes prior to tell you to jump in your car and pick up your child. It's truly a nightmare. If you aren't a donor, they segregate your kid. Kids constantly fighting each other, and the school does nothing. If you want your kid to excel, do not waste your time here. The school teaches the backwards village mentality, and teaches the kids about everything being haram, so the kids come home tense beyond words. Some of the mothers take their kids overseas for almost a month, and the school doesn't fail these children for absences. Last day of school for graduation, the principal Ken and Rubina grabbed the microphone and demanded no one leaves until they reach their donation goal for the day. AND they have the art teacher stand on the mic and beg for art supplies because they are stingy with school funds, and put the pressure on faculty. If you donate supplies, somehow they still vanish. Save your money, and your child's health. Academically your child will fail here and will become unhappy. GO ELSEWHERE!

terrible school. students barely learn anything here. they were some students who transferred from NUIA to a public school and they were behind with their work. parents have to pay almost $600 every months per student unless they have a scholarship, which pays like $100 a month which is still a lot. why would you spend so much money on your child when your child barely learn anything? most of the teachers at this school are non muslims. theres only about 6-7 teachers who actually knows how to teach and they're all non muslims. that person who wrote a good review about the school was probably the principal. this school is suppose to be teaching the students islam. theres only like two classes of islamic studies every week. if you want your child to get good education, do not send your child here. this school makes kids suicidal.

NICE SCHOOL. ACADEMICS IS DECENT, I FEEL THE STUDENTS THAT ARE CAPABLE SHOULD BE CHALLENGED MORE. WOULD BE NICE IF THEY HAD A GIFTED PROGRAM. OVERALL SCHOOL IS GOOD. NO MAJOR COMPLAINTS

this school is terrible. everything you want is overly priced. $3 for a plate of lettuce and chicken? also, do not get me started on the teachers teaching abilities. every good teacher we get leaves in the middle of the school year. Thats how bad it is. Also, the school maybe has 1 or 2 students that do really well in SATS but they exploit them so much so it seems everyone else does. If your considering this school for your child, don't. the only good thing in the school is arabic and quran class. if your considering going here for those 2 classes, 1 year will do you good.

Front office not very courteous , they promote kids in order to make space for other kids. They start off with small amount of kids then it increase at middle of year.

Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
