What a great foundation of faith and academic excellence with a strong technology, sports and music program . Both my sons graduated from St.Peters and were more than ready to face the world. Blessings to all the great faculty, staff and parents !!!!!!!!!
St. Peter's is worth the sacrifice that we make to send our children to school there. Academically, the school cannot be beat. High expectations produce excellent students. With two students in the school since Pre-K we have had the experience of an honor roll student and an average student. Yet an average student at St. Peter's seems advanced to his public school counterparts. Staff have been responsive and readily available. In addition to the academics, I appreciate the values and morals the staff & church reinforce. The most impressive thing to me, being a graduate of a Catholic elementary school, is that me children love to go to school.
St. Peter Catholic School is a wonderful academic and faith filled school. Their new technology, enhanced emphasis on academics, and wonderful teachers makes this school a Catholic School of Excellence. The students are very respectful and kind to each other. The schools focus on our Catholic Faith is exactly what families should be looking for. My children continue to excel in both their academics and their faith!
St Peters teaches great values and respect for others in general. I think if you can teach respect for God, parents, teachers, police, the law and many others, you have taught the most importent things in life on this earth.
Very little elementary supervision. Kids are not discouraged when it comes to bukkying. Very disappointing.
St. Peter Catholic School is wonderful! I have three children that attend this school and they all are receiving an excellent education. The middle school faculty really cares. Students are excelling this year and that is great. The school also is offering electives this year for them. The Technology lab and media center are amazing.
St. Peter catholic school has they best 8th grade homeroom teacher and assistant principal in the world. I had him before he went there for s. S. He help my class and everyone. You are the luckiest people in the whole world to have mr. R. I still am using the stuff that he taught me i am in ap classes because of him. Mr. R is my favorite and the best teacher and assistant principal you could ask for
I would just like to say that I have 2 children that attend St. Peters Catholic School and I would not want them anywhere else. What you put into something is what you get out of it. My daughters are thriving and I could not ask for a better blessing. I have not encountered any major problems with my children and the school. Ofcourse there are going to be bumbs along the way at any school, but you can't jsut blame the teachers, administration, etc. I am involved in my childrens lives, therefore I do not have to be surprised about anything. Think about it. Reinforcement at home works, try it sometime.
The lower grades have very large classes. Tuition is very reasonable for a private school, but obviously large classes are the downside to that. The teachers are rather uncommunicative, waiting until a problem has gotten completely out of hand before calling a parent.
Kindergarten and first grade both have 32 students to one teacher with one teacher's aid. We just found out that there will be 35 students in the second grade class next year with one teacher, and one aid! Teacher to parent communication is limited. The first grade teacher is very harsh, often yelling at the kids. There have been large jumps in tuition over the past couple of years, without anything to show for it. My son's first grade class had ONE field trip this year to Deland HS, and to a nursing home - not very exciting. Enrollment drops drastically as the grades go up. There were eight kids last year that graduated from the 8th grade. Four that I know of that year left to go to different schools because they were unhappy. The principle turns a deaf ear to parent concerns, always siding with teachers.
This school really has the childrens future in mind and gives a approiate advanced education that will help our children suceed in life.
This school is like a club where the parents are not welcome. Unreasonable expectations of the very young. The principal shows blind faith towards the teachers. The only time parents are included in anything is when it is convenient for the staff. There is a complete lack of respect. The art,,music, and pe departments are very weak as well.
