We enrolled my daughter at DSA for pre-K and we've been really impressed with what we've seen. She absolutely loves her teachers and I know she's getting a quality education and is in a safe environment. I'm glad that I can trust who is in charge of my child while she's away from home. I would definitely recommend DSA to others, best school in the area.

My kids get such a individualized education here, they're not just a number and the teachers actually know everyone personally. They're learning about their faith in a hands on way and I feel they're getting more out of DSA than they could anywhere else in the area.

Schools are good as the teachers within that school.Good teachers who practice humility, kindness, compassion and care for all human beings surely will make a difference. If parents need one-on-one or group tutoring for their children, please call me: Dr. Debbie Persaud @ 786-302-3263. I am a retired MDCPS teacher with a Doctorate in Education, MSEd in Teaching English as a Second Language, MSABA in Applied Behavior Analysis, and is currently in a PhD Clinical Psychology Program. I work one-on-one with children with learning difficulties, ADHD, ADD, and general homework help. I have flexible hours and work with the children in their home environment.

I'm with the parent that posted this school is like the story of Hansel and Gretel. Could not have said it better. A beautiful building with bad people inside!!!! I also took my child away from here. They do not practice what they preach! My child had a terrible experience while at this school .

I am a DSA parent and I have all four of my children in this school, from preschool through the fifth grade. After two years here at Divine Savior, my family and I could not be more happy. Not only are the academics stimulating and challenging, but my children are blossoming socially, creatively, athletically, and spiritually. The teachers and staff are second to none, and the love and dedication they consistently exhibit proves that they view the education of children as a life's calling, and not merely a job. You will not find a better school for your child!

This school is like the gingerbread house in Hansel and Grethel story line. I have a very bad experience with this school. I felt that we were questioned on our beliefs and that religion is used to intimidate children into behaving well. I would say to parents be careful of how sensitive your child is and really look at all that is said and explained to the children. I would not recommend this school.

I have had a good experience at DSA. My daughter has been there for two years now (prek3 and4), and she loves it. There are many family-oriented activities - not too many to distract from the curriculum. Parents are very involved, the teachers have been great, and the administration is nice. I don't know much about the upper grades but sports seem to only be starting up. This school is still in it's growing phase (adding one grade as the kids get older - and they are up to 11th now). I am now looking to move to another city and i hope to find a similar school for my daughter.

My child had a terrible experience in this school Administration and principal are not supportive. Don't get blinded by exaggerated posts that could come from the inside. Do your research. Most teachers leave after a year or two and most don't even have much experience teaching. Give one star for the building but is that really what matters when educating your child???

The class sizes are better than most of the schools we looked at, and they have a great curriculum. The teachers do a great job with all the kids and challenge them, but with a fair amount of homework. Whenever we need to email the teacher, we get a quick response so we can keep updated on what our son is doing in class. He likes going to Divine Savior, so to us we have found one of the best schools in Florida. - Glenn

Our kids absolutely love Divine Savior. Our family would rate it very highly because of all the wonderful things they have done for our children. They provide a great learning environment, teach at the appropriate level of difficulty for each grade level, and they really communicate well with the parents. All our kids are involved in extracurricular activities like sports, chess club, and drama productions. The school and the teachers are wonderful, and the best that we could find in Doral. We can't wait till they finish up the new high school. - George

I thank God that we found this school. I have a 4 1/2 yr old enrolled in preK 4 in DS. He was in a montessori preschool for the last year and we switched to DS after quite a bit of research. We wanted a Christian education with a strong play-based curriculum and we have found it. My son is learning so much every week and he comes home and just blurts things out that amaze me. His disposition is cheerful after school and some bad habits he had at his old preschool have basically disappeared after being at DS. He teacher is as sweet as Mary Poppins and my son loves her. The teachers at DS are high quality and the parent involvement seems to be very high as well. The principal is accessible and friendly, but seems to be a strong leader for the school. Only thing missing to me is a strong music program but I'm sure that will come in time. The facilities are beautiful and the school is very secure.

Divine Savior Academy has a great academic curriculum and Christian education. That's one of the main reasons why I chose this school for my child. They do a good job with everything. Also, I like the facilities and the quality of people. Everything is done really well and professional. I recommend Divine Savior Academy to any parent looking for a great quality education for their child or children. M.S.

I couldn't ask for a better school for my children than DSA. I'm very satisfied with the level of challenges they are given daily. There's excellent communication between the staff and parents. They have an open door policy and the students understand the rules and regulations of the school so it's a very well run & safe learning environment. -VR

Divine Savior Academy is simply the best school in Doral. The facilities are first class and the administration is very approachable, but what really makes this school special are the extremely professional teachers who truly care about our chidlren. They are living examples of faith put into practice.

I think the teachers are really good and they pay alot of attention to the students. But, the pastors don't practice what they preach on Sunday. They are liars who only want money. They treat the employees and teachers so bad especially the Hispanic people who work there.

This is a young school with a high teacher turnover. The no.1 mission and objective is to create Lutheran Christians. Religion is taught daily with supplemental homework and takes away time from core curicculum. Language Arts curicculum is weak and need a lot of improvement, and this year many students in different grade levels are in remedial courses during the summer. School is lacking technology program, and science is taught based on what the bible preaches. The best thing about the school is its loving and nurturing feel which they promote with a 'Christian atmosphere'. One should carefully analyze the school philosophy and mission, the curicculum before enrolling. For the money, you can find better rounded schools in the area and avoid getting blinded by its new facilities.

We are very pleased with how our children love their school. The new building is first class. Our children are really enjoying the new library and gym. Teachers and administrators go the extra mile to help the children succeed. It is good to know that when and if we have concern we will be heard. Top grade Christian Education.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
