This school is getting better. My son does not like school middle school is not for him
I am not impressed with this school. I have only encountered few teachers that really seem to care. Most are just trying to get thru the day. My child has voiced to me that they dont think the teachers seem to care. Not impressed with principal either. I have addressed safety pick up issues with him and although I see him patrolling the ares, kids are still running to and from vehicles on Bates Road which is not a designated pick up area. MANY kids at this school seem to be from homes that there is little parent involvement. which concerns me. I have noticed this first hand. Kids are extremely involved in inappropriate behavior and candid discussions about serious things.
I am a student of this school and yes sometimes someone leaves a surprise in the boy's bathroom or a fight breaks up but the bus I rode today was horrible. But most of the teachers are nice yet they make it fun to learn like Mr. Green he is a cool teacher same with Mr. Banta. Remember I am a student of this school and I have learned a lot from this school.
i love this school. I have a lot of friends i don't have any enemies. out of all 6 teachers theres only one that i really dislike. i love my classes. they could ease up on the homework
Eustis Middle School has a great staff, who cares about the students.
We are an A rated school, there is great care and involvement from the parents. We have a very large student band, where kids of all social ecomonic back grounds get a chance to play an instrument.
This is a great school. Teachers educate the children wonderful. Im very proud of how this school has increased!
This middle school has friendly staff and above average organizational skills when it comes to keeping the students on course. They fall short on communication between teachers and parents on a weekly basis, I only hear from my son's teachers at progress report time.
The bathrooms are nasty the teachers are bad. Always making the children mad.
We have been thrilled with the music/band program. Mr Gerry Ricke (director) does a great job educating and motivating in a classroom of respect. The level I Mustang Jazz band again received superior ratings in 2007 and is well positioned to take national awards at various festivals this year keeping the historical achievements on track. Regarding other teachers, we haven't been that excited as the quality has varied greatly.
Great Band Program and good advanced classes. Overall it is a very good school.
The music program is wonderful. The teacher is devoted to the joy of music education. Great Jazz. I found dealing with administration to be difficult as often they jumped to conclusions that were later found to be wrong.
I don't feel there is enough communication to parents from teachers. Teachers don't welcome parent involvement. This school is over crowded therefore there is not enough supervision. There also aren't enough extra school activities.
i don't like the fact that at the end of the school day the kids get on the buses and the teachers or administrators then turn off the phones. if my child comes home with a problem and i need to call, forget calling after 4pm. i have been to the school office at that time and seen the people behind the desk simpley not answer the phone. it's like their day is over. whatever need a parent may have to call, well it just has to wait till the next day. i think calling hours should be until 5pm.
I am actually a graduate from Eustis Middle School and Eustis High School. I would like to add that Lake County School Systems have great opportunities going for their students. Not only do they have outstanding teachers, but they also have outstanding, bright students! If you are thinking about getting involved in the Eustis community school system you will not be disappointed.
This school is the worst school in lake county. From everyone I know all I have heard is how terrible the school is and have had 3 kids gone there and made F's from being straight A students in elementry should tell you something. So for all the parents that are considering having there children go there reconsider it.
I just had my 2nd child graduate from EMS, and I have been thrilled. The teachers are wonderful - we only had a problem with one teacher. With 6 classes per day for 3 years per child, only having to deal with 1 bad teacher was pretty good. This is the most difficult stage of adolescents, and EMS did a good job with both of my children. I would highly recommend this school for anyone moving to Lake County.
My daughter (honor roll student) is going into the 7th grade this year. I have found the teachers, helpful, knowledgeable and willing to help (example; morning tutoring). Improvement in extra curricular activities would be nice. Overall very pleased with the school.
