QI Roberts administration change was the breaking point for this school. This is my second child who attended QI and thankfully she is about to enter high school next year or I would have definetly transferred her. The leadership is weak, and the moral of the teachers is down.

WEll I have to say that this is my second child attending this school. But since the administration changes it has gone down hill. The students are mean to each other, they still from each other, yes there is a big drug problem in this school. They do not know how to follow a child's IEP plan what soever. They do not help children with disabilities at all. I would say that the P.E. is not structured at all.it is like "GO PLAY" which then tends to have fights, alot of bulling at this school also.I think when they replaced the top administrators from this school is where they messed up. There is no parent contact until days after something has happened. their answer to everything is school suspension. They do not offer after school detention or any other option. Good luck getting make up work for when your child is suspended. Parents are pulling their kids from this school left and right..My child could not even go to the restroom with out a kid busting in on him to bully him.

There's a few wonderful, caring teachers and administration in this school that understand a child's needs and make every effort to teach and treat a child as an individual. But again, there are a few teachers and administration that arer there to fill an "assigned" position, given to them by a relative whois part of the county school board. I know teachers have a very tough job and appreciate what they do for our children and think they are very under paid for the service they provide. But let's face the fact that not all teachers are cut out to be in a classroom or administrate. Children that have learning disabilties want to succeed and don't have anyone to turn to for extra help. They a labeled "unteachable".

This school does not offer its students lockers or anyplace to store their belongings during PE or lunch. The kids have to leave their clothes and personal belongings sitting on the side walk or on the bleachers with no adult supervision. My son can not take his lunch to school - his food and drink are stolen from the unsupervised area the kids have to leave their belongings. Yesterday his cell phone was stolen from his backpack while he was in PE. Again, kids forced to leave their bags unsupervised on the bleachers while they attend PE. Also, the sale and use of drugs has become a major problem. Kids are stealing pills from their parents medicine cabinets and bringing them to school to sell and to take. I have had children in this school for 3 years now and this problem has become a widespread issue at this school.

Prior to attending Q.I. Roberts, my child was in an advanced private school and was also home schooled. Q.I. far exceeded my expectations. My daughter has done well there. This school strives for excellence and is an asset to Putnam County. I hope it remains open for generations to come.

This is an excellent school. The leadership is strong and approachable. A rated FCAT in 2007-08. The teachers are diverse and make learning enjoyable. My child excels both academically and socially in this enviroment. I hope they can maintain this standard with present budget cuts.
