Supports LD students: Strongly disagree

If a child does not fit the school perfect norm they will not support the student

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly disagree

The staff in preschool is incompetent in every sense of the word.....they have no idea how to properly manage a classroom

The school is absolutely unable to support pre school children. The leadership has no idea what they are doing and the staff is inexperienced and as a result the children are not properly supported. The school suggests that they manage a Christian nurturing environment and nothing could be further from the truth. Unfortunately the headmaster does not even understand how poorly the school is being managed. Please avoid the school for your children.

Bethany is a great school. The staff is well prepared and friendly (our kids joined the Scholl in August/2015, were very well received), the teachers have a great academic background and experience, the classes have around 15 children (one teacher and one assistant per class; both of them very entusiastic), the quality of the books and homework is outstanding and the kids also have enjoyed the extra activities. The environment / atmosphere of the school is very friendly as well the Rio Vista community. Yesterday (March 11, 2016) we participated in a fundraising great activity that involved parents, staff and community; everybody was really engaged to raise funds in order to provide resources for new classes, extra spaces, new sport courts, etc (and the activity was very well organized). Congratulations to the teachers and staff. We are very proud of being part of Bethany’s family! Fernando and Alessandra Moraes

Where do I begin. This school only caters to born again Christians and people pretending to be Christians. They are only concerned for their staffs children who are getting a free education. The sports are a joke! The acedemics? What academics? My child was 2 grade levels behind after leaving. The headmaster was thrown out of another school only to be taken by this below par school. If you are looking for a sub par education with a staff only concerned about giving free tuition to their friends, this is your school. Parking is terrible and your car will get towed if you don't watch out! The only positive thing is the fact that they are in east Fort Lauderdale! I seriously recommend you look somewhere else before considering this faculty drive school. If the rio vista church was smart they would get some sense and get rid of the headmaster! He is a clown!

BCS is a school whose aim is to develop the child as a whole. The people who work at BCS care for their students as more than just young people to learn facts, but as young individuals who are special and unique just as they are and who can be nurtured into even better people. If you are looking for a perfect school then keep on looking, becasue you will never find one. But in the mean time if you want a school whose mission is to care and educate your child then you have found it. What BCS may not yet have in its athletic program or other areas it has been making progress over the years to develop, but what it continues to retain from one year to another are: loving, well- educated, and credentialed faculty members as well as an administration that is fair and balanced in its approach to school management and discipline. BCS does have its fair number of parent/teachers but that only goes to the heart of the matter that those who work at BCS care about the quality of content that their children are actually learning. BCS may be a small school but from the Kindergarten through the Middle School achievement is undeniable.

Parents be aware of this school!!! They have had more headmaster in the past 5 years and the current is a joke! Academically it is not par with any other private schools and 2 years below public standards. Most of the teachers are parents ,including admissions, their children attend the schools and they want the free tuition, what makes matters even worse is these teachers have no credentials to be teaching at all! There is absolutely little to no athletics offered at the school and what is offered is a joke ran by you guessed it another parent! If you are looking for terrible academics, hypocritical Christians, and the worse arhletics department, then this is the school for you. Do yourself a favor and save your money! Any other school would be better than Bethany Christian School. Good luck!

Bethany Christian School is wonderful. Not only does it offer outstanding academics, but it offers a very warm and nurturing environment for my kids. The teachers are phenomenal and they are totally invested in their students. I could not recommend Bethany higher!

Bethany Christian is an wonderful school! My children have been attending BCS for over 4 years and they have been extremely happy there. They have had great teachers and have done well academically, socially and spiritually. I feel that the teachers and administration really care about the students as individuals. The school atmosphere encourages close relationships and parent involvement. We will be there for a long time!
