I highly recommend this school. My son is in this school last year when he is in kindergarteen under Miss Driggers. I am really satisfied of what he is learning. The AR program is great. He is so excited on learning new words and new things. The speech therapy department is doing a good job too. I am sad to transfer him because of the distance from home to school.

Since the new principle has come to the school everything has gone down hill. I have been to the school 3 times already this school year 2010/2011 to address problems with teachers. One teacher was calling the kids "TURDS". My children are straight A students and recently both were given failing grades in music. It turned out the teacher pretty much just made up the grades because she said " I have over 900 students you can't expect me to remember them all". The principle is pretty much useless and doesn't seem to have any control over her staff.

It used to be a pleasant experience to bring your child to this school. New principal = new rules! No one smiles anymore and the administration staff are rude and disrespectful to parents and children. Parents are banished from the facility unless you are sitting in a vehicle waiting to pick up your child. Sure do miss the days when parents had an opportunity to get to know one another, communication was open and everyone was friendly.

San Carlos Park Elementary has gone terribly down hill since obtaining Ai. S. as principal. Parents and students enjoyed volunteering and attending that school until she arrived with her "my way or no way" policy. It sickens me that she has turned that great school into a prison for children. She needs to hop back on her broomstick and fly back where she came from. She shows dictatorship, not leadership. She doesn't care about the children or the school. She should be gone and bring in someone that cares about the students and what others have to say.

I agree. The principal has not done any good for this school whatsoever. I know a lot of parents that stopped volunteering because of her and her bad attitude towards everyone, especially the children.

I watch kids after school that go there and they don't want to be there any longer than they have to and if they see the principal, they try to escape. You are so right, she is like a prison guard. A big meanie to tiny children.

I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing problems with this school. I am saddened that there are these issues going on there. I pray for the children daily. The staff there really needs help with listening and not siding with each other but focusing on what's right and not what they want. It should be about the children not how good they (the staff) thinks they look. I have to pick parent involvement to be unsatisfactory only because no parent wants to be involved with a one sided situation and that's all the principal and staff are there.

God please give the children in that school the knowledge that what ever problems caused by the teachers and principal that it isn't their fault.

I have a few neices an nephews that attend there. They enjoy their classes an teachers very much. It is in a decent neighborhood an close enough for them to ride their bikes or walk to school.
