I LOVE this school! I had my children at another private school in town and made the switch to ECS a couple of years ago. I have never looked back! My children are loved, and challenged academically! They have been provided with so many opportunities for growth spiritually, socially, and academically! The teachers are incredible and truly care for the children in their classrooms. Thank you ECS for partnering with my husband and I to raise Godly, intelligent young men.

Being an educator myself, and daily walking the halls of ECS , my heartfelt opinion is that we are producing a stellar product. My colleagues and I work diligently to ensure that our parents are getting all they are paying for, and more. We strive to be professional and caring, pushing our students to excel in life, both academically and spiritually. Our test scores speak for themselves. The post-grads that I am in touch with claim they are well prepared for the college experience. Many of the alumni return to teach, continuing to contribute to the long history of impact we've had in this part of Southwest Florida. ECS is a great choice for a solid, competitive education

Best decision I made was to have my children here at ECS. It is worth your time to schedule a tour and see what Evangelical Christian School is all about.

Look at the mission statement for the school. Evangelical Christian School's mission is to provide students in preschool through grade twelve an excellent academic education in an environment that honors God and to challenge students to reach their highest potentials mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. Academically it is challenging. Athletics and Fine Arts are great and competitive. My child win's in all of this. The teachers pray with my child and keep my family in prayer. That is what is really important. Look at what God's influence is within the school and with your child. That is what is making the school grow and grow with new students. A very pleased parent with children that are thriving.

ECS has been a significant part of my life for the last 20 years. I graduated from here, and now both of my children attend here. They are involved in the excellent sports programs and fine arts. The classes are challenging, but the teachers make themselves available to help before school or after school if my kids are struggling. I love the school's renweb program, where I can check on their assignments and get a weekly progress report. The technology that has been added to the classrooms and the classes that teach the students how to use that technology are fantastic. My son especially has really enjoyed the Digital Design and Video Production classes. It has shown him something that he has a talent for, and may decide to pursue as a career option after college. The best part of ECS is there is such a feeling of family here. Things aren't always perfect...we're talking kids here, but the teachers and administrators have dealt with any concern quickly and with genuine love and care for my children. As a parent, to know that there are other Christian adults praying over my children is such a blessing to me. ECS has been the decision for our family.

ECS is the best school around town without a doubt. I attended ECS myself and now have my daughter at the school. The staff and teachers are so kind, considerate, informative, and just down to earth. There are rules just as with any other school and they actually FOLLOW them. The curriculum is very current and taught from a Biblical perspective (curriculum is Christian as well). There are cameras in each class room as well as in the hallways in case an incident occurs. It it such a wonderful feeling knowing that the teachers and staff are praying for our kids daily and truly want what's best for them. The students are encouraged to attend Christian colleges but obviously can choose wherever they'd like to go. They make the best SAT scores in the county and many have gone on to prestigious colleges and academies. The athletics and electives offered are phenomenal as well as the facilities. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for ECS.

I have been teaching at ECS for 25 years. In those years I feel that this school has grown to be one of the most outstanding schools in SW Florida. When you consider the range of athletics, fine arts, facilities, faculty, and the academics, you will be hard pressed to top this school. We are not without our flaws. But we are a loving, kind, and nurturing environment. The vast majority of our alumni consider us to be one big family. Two of my grandchildren graduated from this school, and are doing famously. They were well educated, encouraged to think, and nurtured through those difficult teenage years. Those who work here, and those who attend here, are among the most privileged people on the planet. Two thumbs up!!!

Academically challenging and far exceeds test scores for ACT or SAT. All students test scores are disclosed unlike public schools scores at 10% or less. Students attend whatever college THEY chose including top ELITE colleges, Airforce academy, as well as local schools because that may be all the parents can afford. Make your decision by coming on campus and meeting the caring teachers. my children have attended since infant program and I have a 2015 graduate that I am very proud of that accomplishment. Yes, she is going to college. Both of my boys fly in the AVIATION program and there is not another school in Southwest Florida that does that. LOVING the Sentinel family. JOIN the positive impact that is out there. SUPPORTIVE PARENT!!!!!

I have had 3 kids attend ECS over the years and I wish I had my eyes opened Much sooner. The education they offer is about 20 years behind, No... If, and's, or but's about it, They are stuck in the PAST. They cannot prepare children for Public school IB programs or State College. The GC pushes all High School seniors to private Christian colleges, possibly because its the only school their students get into or maybe she is that crazy. The staff members are all under strict rules regarding their lifestyle inside and outside of school and the funny thing watching all the drama unfold. When the students break a rule there is NO mercy and the staff gossips over over town about the children. The school has a great sports program but its not worth the money or having to deal with all the other things. STAY AWAY

After expressing my concern about my children's cognitive development and stimulation, I was referred to Evangelical Christian School from a previous ECS mom and co worker. I spent countless hours conducting research online and getting reviews from other parents and teachers before contacting to schedule a tour. Once there, I was blown away by their curriculum, nutritious meals, and loving staff. I decided to withdraw my children from their former child care facility and enroll them at ECS and I am elated to say both my children are thriving in a manner I could have only imagined. I admire that the school has preschool through 12th grade on one campus. My children are not of school age, so they attend the preschool, but in a short couple of months my oldest will be attending the K4 program at the main school. After a tour of the main school, I was blown away yet again at the curriculum, foreign language (Spanish and Mandarin), arts, and athletics offered at the school. I am blessed with the opportunity to send my children to Evangelical Christian School.

My son was enrolled in the on line academy as an 8th grader. He enjoyed the program and his ability to visit the school on chapel days. We have found everyone to be helpful to a fault and willing to listen to the parents and students about ways to improve. Our son will be on campus next year and he is very excited for what's to come

They need cameras in the classrooms to make sure children are being supervised at all times. Also better background checking on teachers.

One of the most difficult decisions I made when moving to Lee County Florida was choosing a school for my two daughters. One tour of Evangelical Christian and I knew we were found a "home". ECS is providing my daughters with an excellent education that far exceeds the public school options all while in an environment that honors God. They have taught my children to challenge themselves and reach their fullest potential both academically and spiritually. The teachers and staff are so supportive and really take a one on one approach to every child. Classroom sizes are small and each student becomes a part of the ECS family. ECS has a beautiful campus with state of the art facilities. They have a first rate athletic program that offers a wide variety for kids to choose from. If your child is not interested in sports there are so many other activities, such as band, art, drama, etc.. There is truly something for everyone at this school. If you are moving to the area and need to make a choice for your kids I urge you to give ECS a chance. They have changed our lives in such a beautiful way and I am so very blessed to have them be a part of my kids lives.

The start of another school year for our son and I must say we thank God every day for this awesome school. Our son is thriving, has lots of great friends - quality kids from wonderful families. We could not image him at any other school - no other one offers the outstanding academics or competitive athletics he enjoys. Their fine arts program is also fantastic. It is unfortunate that some others have made such disparaging remarks about this great school - I know one of the people that did so and to be polite, their parenting skills are not very impressive. It is the type of parent who wants to be their child's friend instead of parent and then when the child gets in trouble, it's always someone else's fault. Don't be fooled - their is no better school in the area than ECS.

I am so saddened to hear the comments by the person on May 18. ECS is certainly not a perfect place, but it is a great place in which administrators, teachers, and staff are constantly trying to tweak what needs to be improved. I certainly have never heard of a child being placed in a garbage can, nor have I heard of a student erasing the board with her nose. These sound like tales to me. I would never question the Christianity of the teachers, and I can personally attest to the fact that the majority, if not all, are teaching in the field of their degrees. I am saddened that the parent is so angry--angry enough to write such things. I also hope the family finds a school that is a good fit for them.

My child loves this school! He attended another private school from preschool to grade 8 when we took him out of a very hostile environment. ECS has been such a blessing for us all. The academics are superb, the athletic program is coached by godly people, parents are very involved, teachers are excellent and the environment is conducive to learning. I only wish we had made the change earlier!

The athletic teams are growing and are also competitive. ECS's team are able to compete and beat 5 A schools in the area. Despite the success in athletics, the focus remains on the spiritual growth of the student. This is why we have chosen ECS for our child.

I am continually amazed by the godly leadership and dedicated staff. I am a teacher at another local school and have been extremely impressed by the academic, artistic and athletic programs. I have also worked with many of ECS's students and can honestly say that I have not encountered more well rounded and spiritually mature individuals. This is where I plan on sending my children.

I tried the day care for my 9 mos. old daughter. Unacceptable infant program. There is nothing to stimulate her senses and growing mind. No songs, stories, conversations, pictures, and opportunity to move about and explore the physical environment. They have no curriculum for infants. There are no planned activities to promote large motor, small motor, language, and sensory development other than riding in a stroller twice a day.

As a parent of a 10th grader, I cannot be more pleased with this wonderful school. Everybody - teachers, staff, administrators, students, and parents - are very friendly and truly care about the students. The school is Christ-centered, academically challenging, and prepares the kids for the future extremely well. Our son has been at ECS since he was 3 and cannot imagine being anywhere else (nor can his mother or me)! We all truly love this school and everyday thank God for the eternal impact it has had in our lives - especially for our son.

I am reviewing this school from an alumi stand point. Having graduated in 1994, I have been given ample time to understand the value of my private schooling at Evangelical. As I was growing up in Evangelical, I remember my friends from surrounding schools coming home with much easier homework than I and talking about the fights and events that had happened that day. I started understanding then how far ahead our school was academically than the surrounding schools. I always felt that the teachers genuinely cared for us as students. My parents were never left out of the loop. When there was a problem with a students grades, they were sent home with reports explaining the deficiency present. Evangelical's sports and elective programs usually produce only the highest quality, performance wise. I would suggest ECS to any parent seeking a school that will properly protect and educate your children.

My daughter has been a student at ECS from K-2 through 7th grade. She has always thrived in the school. She has had some fine teachers. The school has been trying to compete with public school teacher salaries, which has required a big increase in tuition two years ago. It is not too much to ask, in my view. The academic programs are anchored in the Beka curriculum, which I am told is highly touted. Our daughter has done well in what has seemed to be a rigorous curriculum, with much expected of students, in terms of homework, religious study, and participation in extracurricular activities. These activities have been growing over the last five years, with the addition of interscholastic sports for boys and girls. Parents are heavily involved and encouraged to be a part of the children's education.

ECS is both academically challenging and socially stimulating. It is not often that High School students, such as my two, look forward to going to school each day with enthusiasm. It appears to me that the administration is consistently striving to take steps to improve the school and its ability to impact the students there. I have met many faculty members that have a genuine concern for the students both academically and spiritually. I believe their position at ECS is also a ministry for them. Obviously ECS is not a perfect school but for our needs and desires it has been the best choice available. Most importantly to us, is that at ECS Jesus is Lord.

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
