Lee County Public Schools

Know your school choice options in Lee County Public Schools.

In the Lee County Public School District, the district is divided into three zones and sub-zones. You have the option to choose from a number of schools in your attendance zone and sub-zone, as well as magnet, charter, International Baccalaureate (IB) and arts schools which may be outside your attendance zone. The first application period runs from mid-January to mid-April. The second application period follows immediately after the first and ends the last day of school. Students with special needs may be eligible to receive a McKay Scholarship to attend a private school.

Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
