I had three of my children attend Sun Grove. At first they were thriving and being well prepared for the world beyond Sun Grove. Recently, they are changes taking place that I do not feel prepare our children for what they need to be successful. For a public school education, their standards are adequate. For a private school education, their standards are unacceptable and not worth the cost.

What a joy! an incredible learning environment second to none ! fantastic support system.. Teachers who pour their hearts and souls into their work.. You must pay a visit !.. observe the Primary and Elementary children at work .. observe ..You will be in awe !! You will wish you had gone there too ! and I have heard that same from so many parents. This school has given our daughter such a solid educational foundation , and believe me every day it shows . You will not be disappointed . Our daughter attended from the Primary through to the Elementary . To see her develop into an independent thinker , there is simply much too much to say, you must see for yourself ! ..This is such an amazing school and brilliiant learning environment . from lower elementary and now they have a Middle School . what could be better !! Absolutely a gem ! The best education that my daughter could have had and we wish we were still there , are so truly grateful to have been a part of it and miss it so much ! Experience the joy , spend a few mins to observe them !

My daughter has been a Montessori child since infancy and is now in 7th grade at Sun Grove. She has grown to be an independent thinker, a confident leader and a young adult that thinks of others. The benefits of her Montessori education are numerous and Sun Grove is a wonderful school and family community.

I wish I could attend Sungrove! My daughter gets the care and attention she deserves, plus the structure, discipline and tools she needs to blossom into independence. I have learned a lot from the school as well, and it has deepend my relationship with my daughter.

I've had my daugher (7) and my son (4) in SunGrove Montessori, since the time they were 2.5 and 6 months old respectively. There are so many great things about SGMS: The methodology (one on one teaching, according to Montessori methods),; wonderful teachers who treat the children almost as if they were their own, yet with strong discipline; very healthy lunch policy; and others. However, the most amazing thing, is the environment, in which children work on their own, without making noise, while the teacher gives lessons to the other children, on a one on one basis. In SGMS, truly, no child is left behind. The one on one methodology assures that every child fulfills at a minimum, the standard curriculum, which means that by end of First Grade, every child will be 1) reading proficiently, 2) writing in cursive, and 3) doing complex additions. Highly recommend it.

We should have known this was not a good school when they spoke poorly of other children on our first visit. They are very judgmental and they do not engage children. Every time we picked up our child the children were not learning, they were all just wondering . The people who work there do not seem particularly bright and they are very unpleasant while taking the children out of the car. Overall, not a loving caring environment. The also charge an arm and a leg and then do fundraisers every month to bleed you for more.

My children have been attending this school since they were 3 and it is by far the best school! They are now in Middle School ! This school not only has excellent academics but also teaches how to function in the real world! You will not be disappointed by sending your children here at any age!

This is the best school that I have ever visited. The Montessori approach is very conducive to independent learning and love of school.

Sungrove is for a certain type of learner. Children that do not learn independently should not attend. My son has gone there for many years and we have to put him in another school because he doesn't have the built in want to learn jean! Some kids need to be pushed to learn and this is not the school to push to do ANYTHING!

Both our sons have been attending Sun Grove for over 4 years and continue to excel both academically and emotionally. We owe it all to the amazing teachers and staff at Sun Grove.

My son attends Sungrove and he BEGS to go to school on the weekends! He enjoys learning and that's the most important thing to us....education. My husband and I really love the school, not only because they foster independant learning, but because they do so in a caring, natural way. The school also makes a point to include families in every event they have. We wanted to send our son to a Montessori school and this one is the BEST! I say that, because the school goes up to Middle school 'grades', we were amazed by the work that was being generated by the older students, and how peaceful it feels to be there. The alternatives in our area did not have the option of continuing Montessori past the ages of 6 or 7 and we wanted to continue persuing a Montessori approach. We love Sungrove WORTH EVERY PENNY-AGREED!

An absolutelyy amazing school! caring teachers ..A total 'family environment where parents, teachers and students ,thrive in easy comfortable constant communication. Total open door policy . The administrator is the best. You and your children will be very happy here. They will blossom into responsible kids always wanting to strive for more, in such a nuturing way. I cannot say enough wonderful things. My husband and i cried after having to transfer due to jobs,, so did they ..,,We will miss them so much..Our daughter misses them still....You will be lucky to have your kids attend this school. Worth every penny !

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
