Both of my children attended this school. The teachers were always great with them and encouraging.
my daughter goes to this school and it is not all that great, the school is so run down and trashy it needs to be condemed, and the teacher she has is super rude and she is mean to the students! i think if a teacher dont have the patience to teach children then they dont have no business being a teacher! i give this school a 2 out of 10, oh and my child makes 100's but she said she hates the school, she gets bullied everyday by alot of kids!
I have a long history with Edwins. My sisters & I attended when Annette P. Edwins herself was principal. My husband & his siblings attended as well. Two of my 3 children have been schooled there and my youngest attends there now. I have been pleased with the educational environment at Edwins for all of the years that my children have attended. The principals who have been in leadership have always been available to parents for conferences and cooperate greatly in the team effort of principal/teacher/parent. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved including SAC & PTO. Edwins is a very open, warm, inviting school and all of the faculty & staff work so well together to make sure that everything from classroom teaching to PE to lunch contribute to an overall healthy learning experience for all children.
I have strong feelings about this school both positive and negative. positive: Guyla Hendricks= This principal, cares about the children and the parents. Positive: Ms. Wratten 2ND GRADE), Mrs. Steber, (3rd GRADE) Excellent teachers! Negative: Some of the teachers that I have experienced this year are awful. They do not care, they have not challenged my child the way I thought she should be taught. My child had alot of catching up to do when she moved into this new classroom, work that she should have done in her previous classroom.
