As a student here at Choctaw for 4 years i would recommend anybody's child to attend this amazing school. The school has a great atmosphere with multiple excelling programs that have been successful for a while now such as IB, Band, ROTC, All Sports, and more ! yes i'm exaggerating when i say there are a million cameras so your child's safety is in good hands. As apart of being being a student here for 4 years i wouldn't choose any other school. This is more than an A+ school, it is a school that can lead your child into becoming a mature, responsible, and smart young adult in the real world. In other words... #GBG !

I am a student here, and I love it. Choctaw offers you AP and Honors classes (which I take)that allows you to reach your full potential, along with great teachers that prepare you for college. Choctaw also offers a variety of great clubs and sports that you can join which helps build your character and get you ready for life.

Choctaw is a fantastic school with caring teachers, an involved student body with the extracurricular activities and choral and band programs. The IB program is a wonderful opportunity for any student with the capacity for taking learning to the next level. The students are challenged and usually meet the challenges they are given. My husband is a class of 70 alumni and we have a daughter who graduated in 90. the school just keeps getting better!

Choctaw has lots of opportunities for motivated students to excel academically: both IB and Honors curriculum, Pre-engineering courses from two major Universities. This school offers a wide variety of extracurriculum activities to students as well: large number of service and academic clubs, extraordinary choral and band programs, excellent athletic programs.

Fort Walton Beach is blessed with two outstanding High Schools. After retiring from the military I taught part time at both schools. Mainly to decide if teaching was a second career I wanted to pursue but also to evaluate the quality of the schools my children would be attending. By substitute teaching I was able to get an Insiders view of each school. I found that both FWB and Choctaw High School were both Excellent schools. I found them to both be deserving of the A rating they received. I now work at the local military base as an engineer. One son graduated and is headed to college. The next is starting, followed by his sister in four years.

The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
