Love the small class sizes at the school. Each student is known by the teachers and faculty. The PE classes offered are not the typical PE classes at most high schools. The sophomore PE class the students get to experience such things as golf, kayaking, tennis and bowling. Each month the school sends out a newsletter via email to all parents keeping them informed of all that is going on with the students and in the school. Principal Boegli is involved with the students. He eats lunch with the them and asks for their suggestions to improve their school life at STHS. An example is the food truck that the school has for the students. The students were looking for something more then the usual school lunch and Mr Boegli listened and put it into place. It is a huge success with the students
I love that this is a small school. It gives the teachers and staff members the opportunity to provide individualized attention to each student. I have, on more than one occasion, received a phone call from the office just to check in to see if everything is ok. My daughter had health issues this year, and the STHS team went over and above to ensure she had the tools to keep up with her classmates, and stay on her AP track. LOVE LOVE LOVE this school!!
I love this new high school! It's small, safe, has a professional and friendly staff, and a rigorous academic program. My son loves it too! He gets to use a laptop in class and take it home. The school has the most current technology available. I would highly recommend Sheridan Tech High.
2nd certificate from here, nothing has changed. Its the same run around boloney I had to deal with. Financial Aid is a joke, not very competent as well as the new guidance person who took over for the other lady. Both times I have had to pay out of pocket before I ever saw a check. The 1st time was almost when I was getting ready to graduate and now this time it is in limbo due to an error that the school made, its their fault and the student pays the price. If you cant afford to pay for books you are out of luck unless you beg them for a deferment. I applied for one in Jan and am still waiting now its April. Now almost 2 weeks before school is suppose to start, returning due to failing a part of program, now theres a problem with a vaccination that was ok when I got accepted. The instructors look at the files before you attend clinicals, if there was an issue dont you think they could have mentioned it. Its also very concerning when your guidance counselor cannot explain why there is an issue. Um, isnt that why you are there. She also told me my CPR card expired but I took the CPR course and passed it making it updated. I am now considering either BC or another voc school
