I think this school is excellent. My daughter started 7th grade as a new student this year and she loves it. The building is new, well organized and always kept clean. Teacher and staff can be found easily every time I go to the school in the hallways. There are a lot of students. This is area is growing rapidly but the administration really keeps things flowing and keep information coming home to the parents. It almost looks like a high school because it is so populated. So, that was a little overwhelming to our daughter but that is not the school's fault - it's just a growing area. Actually the school is well organized and runs efficiently despite the growth. Administration keeps a watchful eye on safety and does not allow any shenanigans in that area. I was pleased with the electives offered in middle school - very diverse. Our daughter loves this school and we love it too as well as this area in general.

I'm a student here at LAJH and I moved here from Keystone Heights this year. The kids here don't welcome you at all if you're a new person. The teachers are really nice though. If you have a kid that fits in well then he or she will have a great experience, however if they don't then they will be completely miserable. I have been coming here for almost 2 months and I'd say overall that being a new person here has been just terrible.

The majority of the faculty truly seems to care about the kids. Lots of classes and activities to choose from. New students should be prepared to take accountability for their work. Parents should be sure to sign up for the smart web portal.
