I cannot say enough good about this school, especially since the arrival of Mr. Schneider -- who is FANTASTIC. I have two children in this school and I absolutly love it. I have not one complaint. The teachers that both my children have are excellent. Thank you, Thank you LIBERTY PARK!!!

My daughter has attended Liberty Park since kindergarten, and is now in 4th grade. The teachers are excellent and very dedicated. The new principal is great and has started many new programs this year. Liberty Park is one of the few schools offering the dual language program and it is excellent. I had considered private school, but visited Liberty Park a year before my daughter was to begin kindergarten and was impressed. Now she is speaking Spanish like a native speaker - people ask what private school she attends, and are surprised when I tell them it's a public school. Parent involvement is weak, but this year they brought in a wonderful volunteer coordinator. The teachers go above and beyond the call of duty; you will not find more dedicated staff anywhere.

My son attend this school I hate it. Some of the teachers do care but then you have some who are just carefree. My son just turns 6years old and the teachers complain about the littlest of things he doesn't listen and not focusing before they come up with a plan to try get the kids who are not focusing to focus. Instead they immediately blaming it saying your kid need to be on medicated drugs. Boys are usually lest focus in a class than girls and at age 6 years old. I believe its an extreme. Teachers just don't want to do their job anymore because of low pay rate. What will become of our children if the economy is so bad your kid cannot get a proper education. In process of finding a new school. I feel like I am preaching to the choir with this school. My child also comes home everyday and say mom I get picked on everyday. my child also comes home almost everyday with bruises cause by these kids.

I enjoy sending my sons to Liberty park. There are a couple of teachers that will go out of their way for my child's needs. If you cannot visit the teacher regularly then give them your email address so they CAN correspond with you about your child. I have seen a couple of teachers that need to rethink their career, but then teachers in Florida do not get paid enough, they love teaching children and they would spend out of their pocket to buy supplies for the classroom. Because the budget is so minimal. So when they do ask for a donation, please give. Every now and then bring in supplies for the class. they appreciate it. Teachers are special, they are angels full of knowledge that help your child spread their wings to fly. 'Teachers I Thank you'

I love Liberty Park Elementary. The teachers have been awesome, the school is clean and my son really does well there. No wonder it's an 'A' school and has been for years. Keep up the great work Liberty Park!!!

Liberty Park Elementary has been the most wonderful learning experience for my child. I look forward to sending my youngest child next year. My child looks forward to the next school day. He has loved every teacher he has had and my experience with communication between teacher and parent has been excellent. The principal and assistant principal take pride and wonderful leadership in the school. We are very happy with this school's ability to focus every child's education.

Liberty Park has a diverse population of students as does most of south florida's public schools. Although an A school I do find it lacking in teachers willing to go the extra mile for students. My daughter is doing well but there have been instances where she could have benefitted from more creative teaching methods. Also there seeems to be lack of communication between parents and teachers. I wish her teachers provided more communication about what is going on in the classroom (aside from asking my questions during conferences). The staff is friendly and helpful but it just seems that perhaps teaching methods need to be updated. I would also like to see a more creative approach to learning and more manipulatives/centers for primary grades. It has been a bit disappointing in my daughter's first 2 years at this school-nothing horrible but I expected more from an 'A' school.

Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
