This school has taken a turn in the right direction thanks to a real leader with solid ideas for overall success and supporting both teachers and student achievement, a fine balance that is hard to do. After working at this school with asst principals that support teachers, advocate for students and have a positive attitude, I am left with nothing but good feelings and memories. Yes, the students can be challenging, but just about every adult there IS constantly working to improve their craft. Teaching is hard work, if you don't believe so, go and try it for one day. Of course you have to have a 4-year degree, pass all of the certifications, have determination and get paid less than most other studied professions. Boca Ciega HS teachers and admin do it day after day and it shows.

I believe Boca Ciega is a great place for students to learn, especially the students in the medical magnet program. Any Parent who truly believes Bogie is a bad school needs to monitor their child better instead of blaming the school. They do a great job.

Bogie is a great school overall, especially their medical magnet program! The teachers become more than just teachers, but the students friends. Teachers are more than supportive and willing to help out whenever needed. The teachers make Boca Ciega a great place to be. But aside from that bogie is home to very determined pirates that don't let anything stop them from being the best they can be in both academics and extracurricular!

I believe that the students at Boca Ciega High School are out of control and not recieving the proper education at all. It concerns me greatly that my daughter might not prepared for college when she graduates! This is a horrible feeling to have as a parent but its just how its turned out,her GPA is a 3.4 and yet she doesnt seem to be much aware, Florida education is already low and well Boca Ciega just isnt cutting it!

Boca Ciega High School is a very good school. Not only do the students have a fun time among themselves, they have a fun time with the teachers and these days, that is very hard to come by! I give this a 9.5 on the scale.

The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
