I do not like this school for my child. The staff and teachers are wonderful but also I think it is a matter of kids not teachers. Everyday my child complains about how they use curse words and that there are rumors about people touching and rapeing each other. Also there is a wide use of foul language, especially cruel curse words. imagine, this is the gifted class. I enroled my child in the new M.A.S.T. academy program they have at the school now but there really is no difference. There are still the same teachers, and all they did was add 2 more periods, and a 9th grade.

I loved working with the students and faculty of Jose Marti Middle School. It has a bad reputation due to its history, but it is not the school it once was years ago. The administration and faculty are dedicated to the success of these students, more parental involvement and positive publicity is a must.

It has gotten way better than it used to be back when it first started. It has great teachers, great activities, and awesome experiences for the students. I'd recomend this school to anyone that wants their kid to have a great education.

Jmms is a great school. Even the younger generation, and new students going to middle school are told by their oarents that Jmms is a bad school, but thats just talk! Jmms is a great school I never regret the decission on going to Jmms. It's one of the best schools in hialeah because kids always transfer in the middleof the year to Jmms! That says something

Jose Marti is Miami-Dade County's best kept secret. If you listen to the gossip around the neighborhood, the school seems to have a bad reputation. The truth is, however, there are many highly qualified teachers who care about their students and do a wonderful job educating them. The administration and other staff go out of their way to help students and parents. Those who have a bad impression of the school are usually the ones who have never actually been there. Between my niece and my own children, I have been around Jose Marti for over 15 years. The negative comments made by others are simply untrue- a fight every day? Yeah right! It's funny to me- the people with the most negative opinions are usually those with the least control over their own kids! It is a great school and your child would be lucky to go there!

The quality of this school was excellent when my child attended. Teachers and staff were more than helpful in answering questions and making sure that parents were involved. My child had plenty of opportunities to participate in clubs and other activities.

My daughther went to jose marti and it didn't go very well for her, we had to enroll her to another school. This school had many fights which is like a usual thing that happens in every school but in jose marti it was non stop, everyday their was a fight. Also you would walk in and the way it look it look nasty I mean my daughter told me the bathrooms look nasty, that they never clean them and girls would leave their pad on the floor and it was horrible. Also she had a little problem at school with another kid so me and her dad came to talk to the principle about it and he didn't even bother to say don't worry we'll take care of it. in stead he said we can't do nothing about it. To us that was being very careless to the school.

This school has provided a stable learning environment for my child. I happy to see that the slander used against this school was completely wrong. I am hispanic, and I was happy to see that this school and neighborhood are predominantly hispanic. I would recommend this school to anyone, no matter what nationality and income.
