Ms. Janice, a true teacher! My kids have always loved her and I wish her much success!
Mr. Alex, such an amazing teacher. So engaging and energetic. The kids all just adore him!
Ms. Smallze, words cannot express my gratitude and admiration for what you do. My kids are who they are because of your dedication.
Ms. Pat, you've helped my kids in unbelievable ways. Their growth and success is due to your caring.
Ms. Ashley and Elisabeth, always with a smile! It's obvious your teachers for the right reasons. All of your kids are blessed to have you!
Unfortunately, I had to change my rating. Up until last year, I'd say it was a great school. Now, with the forcing out of one of the owners, it's gone downhill. From being money hungry, rude, and unavailable to parents, WOK now leaves a lot to be desired.
Most of the competent staff has left, leaving less than desirable "teachers" to care for the children. It saddens me to see a school that used to be top notch, spiral downhill to a second rate daycare center.
I would think long and hard before sending your kids here.
My son has been at world of knowledge since kindergarten and he's getting ready to enter 3rd grade this fall. He has excelled in every area, most importantly in reading. He has a speech delay and the small classes and extra attention have been perfect for him. . From jan. to June he read 12 books! And presented to the class on each of them. Additionally, the staff and teachers have been so nurturing to his imagination. I love the wok family, and the school offers an incredible education.
Many of the capable teachers have left the school over a situation where staffing "on paper" was sufficient for the number of children that attended but in practice there were not enough teachers in all of the classrooms... and this was told to us at a meeting by a departing teacher with the owner of the school present... a shame because all of the teachers that have left were fantastic. My son won't be attending next year.
My daughter has excelled at this school since day 1. She is currently going into second grade, although she should be in first grade, and she reads on a 4th grade level and does 3rd grade math. WOK is a wonderful school that enriches children's lives in more ways than one. Not only do they learn school work, but leadership, gardening, recycling, and team work among many other things.
This is an incredible school featuring caring teachers and staff, nurtured learning, and so many fun activities and field trips. My son is in kindergarten and is reading beautifully, and doing geometry! I cannot say enough good things. I am so grateful for WOK. It truly feels like being a part of a family, so many involved parents and great teacher communication. We love this school and HIGHLY recommend. Great after school sports and clubs, too.
I have nothing but glowing compliments for my son's education that he has received at World of Knowledge starting in the VPK/Prek program to now starting 2nd grade in the Lower Elementary class. The education is well rounded and the hands on learning is valuable. The school garden is amazing to watch grow throughout the year. And unique events like: International Day and Holiday Fest make the school solely different . Watching everyone participate in Earth Day (even parents and staff) is amazing and the kids really love helping in the individual class gardens! To address the parent below that mentions that the school is "expensive": World of Knowledge is a private Montessori School. Yes, I have chosen a private school education over a public school education and after any research, you will find that World of Knowledge is surprising affordable in comparison to other private school in the surrounding areas. Fundraising, lunch costs and supplies are a requirement of almost every school, not just a private school. I find that World of Knowledge <www.worldofknowledge-fl.com> is an amazing school in the South Pasco/ North Pinellas area in Florida and I cannot recommend them enough.
