Sending my child to this school have been the worst decision I ever made as a parent I wasted my time and my hard earned money I had to transfer my child in the middle of the school year my child was not learning anything and she is not behind on the level that she's supposed to be on thanks to this school I have to let my child repeat that grade again please do not waste your time at this school also this school is not a Christian School the teachers that I have dealt with is very unprofessional & not Christian like. I wish I would have had a parent to share what I'm sharing right now on this website because I wouldn't have not wasted my time and my money at the school my advice is to search and look at reviews and go to the school to observe for yourself me I just took a chance with the school I would not recommend this school to anyone. One last thing the security at the school is not good I saw two students skipping school walking down the street with their uniform on anything could have happened to these kids
Please let's not talk about bullying there was a situation at the school where a young child was being bullied for months I saw this little girl coming to school everyday crying it took the Headmaster about three months to even get around to this little girl
The teachers was just giving out homework my child was coming home and didn't understand what the homework was I asked her did the teacher is explain this in class the response nine times out of 10 it's always no
My daughter attends their VPK program and I have been extremely pleased with our experience. She has Mrs. Martinez, who is kind and firm. I'm very satisfied with the communication this school (emails to the teacher, front office, etc). They also give you an extra hour of the VPK program free of charge (my daughter attends 8am-12pm).
One thing that was also big for me was not getting tied into a ton of extra events and fundraising. There is minimal events (they do a Christmas program and you're welcome to volunteer at class parties) and the fundraising has been very minimal (compared to other parents I have talked to who have their children elsewhere). Everyone I've met there is good natured and happy to help. My daughter has learned so much this year and is having a blast doing it. Thank you, HCS (and especially Mrs. Martinez) for being so awesome!
Thank goodness that headmaster resigned. She caused so much turmoil for my daughter. She would not allow the very willing teachers to help my daughter, siting school policy that no one could find in writing anywhere. Yet, she allowed and paid for the student-athletes to get the assistance we were asking for with our daughter.Whenever we asked for the policy or why athletes could get the help and not our daughter, she was dismissive and rude.We pulled our daughter 2 years ago, but she still has nightmares about the headmaster.I hope they replace her with a sincere Christian that cares about the students, more than her persona.
School just wants $ $ $..... their priority isn't the kids learning. Lots of unnecessary homework every day. My kid is afraid of that place. He would freeze during meetings after seeing the teachers. He begs me not to take him back there again. The previous year he got a B honor roll award, so hope you get lucky and get a decent teacher. I'm not gambling again. It's also funny to see some 5 star reviews that are so blatantly clear written by themselves.
