I have had a wonderful experience with Somerset City Arts. My children love their teachers, the small setting of the school, and the technology they get to use in class. I feel that their teachers are caring and compasionate, and the staff has always been respectful to me. I am also pleased with the amount of parent involvement that is asked for by the teachers. As far as the use of technolgoy in the classroom, I think the teachers do an amazing job using their resources to make learning exciting, fun and give it a "real word" experience. The teachers not only focus on academics but they promote good character behavior for their students. As a parent, I am not only thrilled with my children's academic success (their SAT/ FCAT grades), but congratulations to Mrs. Suarez and the entire staff for being an "A" school! Keep up the good work.

My children attended Somerset City Arts last year (kinder and 2/3rd grade) and we were very unhappy with the education they received. Before becoming a stay-home mom I taught 2nd grade and I was very saddened at the lack of instruction for the kids at this school. They did not participate in reading groups. Their reading instruction consisted of laptop time on educational websites. Over an entire year they were only asked to complete one project (a science fair). No book reports, geography assignments, etc. Students are arranged in multi-age classrooms frequently which is detrimental to their social maturation. There were more "play" days and "fun" days than any school I have ever seen. My children told me they watched non-educational movies multiple times per week. I do believe the teaching staff, as a whole, is dedicated. I also believe the principal truly wants the school to succeed although may be misguided in the areas on which she chooses to focus time/funds. I consider the office staff to be very rude and the lunch supervisor extremely mean. I would not recommend this school on the basis of educational quality.

My boys attended this school last year and I must tell you what a significant difference I have seen in there goal to strive and excel academically. the Pricipal and staff has very high standards for the children. There rewarded with Certificates and Trophies which helps motivate them to do well. This is a phenomenal school that offers Fine Arts, and after school activities which included sports as well. My boys LOVED this school and for the parents who live in Homestead and are looking for 'That Excellent School' look no further because Somerset Arts Conservatory is the one. Mrs. Saurez and Staff great job in making this a joyful and prideful place to call 'My Children's Second Home'.

This school is unique. I am sooo lucky to have found it. The academics standard is far above that of the traditional public school. The teachers make all the difference in the world. They are great. The administration is also wonderful. They are there to assist everyone. They make parents feel welcomed and informed. The children are made to feel comfortable and taken care of. The family atmosphere is awesome and one of a kind. I am proud to have my son there and I definitely recommend it to anyone.

My daughter immediately felt comfortable in this school. She loves her teachers. The staff is small, but very caring and always listens to parents' concern. They truly act as a team, working together and know most parents and all children. They seem to have high academic standards. Although a small school, they have several after school activities and promise to add more next year, mainly in the FIne Arts area, since their theme is the fine arts of dance, art and music. I would love to see a specailized music teacher hired, instead of the homeroom teachers filling that gap. My very smart daughter is being challenged every day and is quite happy and proud of her school. I definitely recommend this new school to friends! a parent
