Thank ASPIRA for what I'm now. Thank all the teachers for the constantly help and support, thank so much to Ms.Denis, Dr.Gustinger, to the sweeties teacher in school Mrs. Sanchez, thank you for be so kind with every one ,your Math help me a lot, thank Mrs. Marrero too. I always will remember my years in ASPIRA like all 2007-2008 graduates
I love Aspira! My child attends this school and I am very happy. The teachers are caring, dedicated, and concerned about every child's education. The administration is very cooperative and listens to the parents. I feel very comfortable leaving my child at school, because I know they will be safe and in a loving and enriching environment. Most of all my child is happy and loves coming to school, which is important in the middle school years!
What a shame. Something must have changed from 2009 to 2010. I read all the rates from last year and was very confodent I was getting my daughter into a great public school. The building could not be more atractive, clean and the band room -music resourses was very impresive. To say the least, it is has been the worst enviroment for my daughter. There is no disipline inposed by anyone. My poore daughter for the first time was afraid to go to school. Her grades deteriorated to the point where I had to get her a tuttor. No one was available to talk to me. My daughter was never placed in music or any other artistic activity. This school had so much potential and resourses but never amounted to anything more than a mediocre schooll. Beware, if you are thinking of getting your kids in ASPIRA
What a disappointment!! I had to move my two kids to a different school in the middle of the year. One of my kids is mildly autistic in 6th grade with a very high IQ. He has a reading comprehension level of 9th grade. At the beginning of the year they promised me to move him to the advance reading class, after 6 months it never happened. He allso has real musical gift, me being a professional musician, was very exited at the time when I toured the school and saw thir music resources. He was never evaluated for music. I am a single mother of 2 and hold 2 jobs to make ends meet. Unless you have a situation where you can go in person and raise hell, you'll never get anything special for your kids. I'm not allowed write more than 150 words, but it goes and goes...
I had to move my son to a different school on the 3rd quarter. Not only he fell behind on every subject but got beaten up by a pier and the issue was never investigated. They claimed that since there was no teacher around they could not do anything about it. My son has mild Cerebral Palsy and could not defend himself. At the new school teachers where shocked at how little he had learned. Now he has help 3X a week to make up for the lost time and was moved up to an advance reading class, which the Leadership School had promised they would do the same but in 7 months, it never happened. This school has been a great disappointment. In every level.
My son studies in ASPIRA and his qualifications has improved remarkably in Math, he likes to go to the school. The school discipline is wonderful too.
My daughter studies in ASPIRA and we are very happy. Her improvment in Reading and Math are incredible with the aid of the teachers who did it with affection, respect and exigency. In spite of this year not to have the tutoring program the teachers are unconditional when the students need them . Good disaciplina and cleaning.
The school is good, excellent teachers, good discipline, cleaning and treatment ,but very poor in activities
ASPIRA is a good school in education and discipline although with few extra-curricular activities. Very good security for the students and team of worried teachers to embosom the children.
I believe that ASPIRA is of the best schools in those than it has been my son. Thanks to all the teachers for all their effort and mainly to Ms.Denis and Ms.Sanches to see the students like its own children, Thanks to the secretaries for its dedication, its amiability, thanks to Mr.Martinez for maintain the security and disciplines in the school ,thanks to all staff for made that parents trust in you for the education of our children.
