There is no other to compare it to. I personally made the grave mistake of choosing the wrong school. So I know from experience what a real solid, amazing school this is. Versus, a tragic disappoint for myself and my child. My children attended FUMCS from K-3 to Kindergarten. It was consistently a very well rounded yet amazing school. Then as my third child came along I had to make a different choice because of my work. After three weeks of seeing what else is out there, I came running back to FUMCS and did anything I could do to get my little one there. Do not ever pass up the opportunity for your children to attend this school. It lays the foundation to their educational future.

We love FUMCS! Both of our children started in pre-school (Beginners) and we have always felt a sense of home here. The open door policy is wonderful as well as the guidance we receive from falcalty & staff has been very helpful. Especially raising children in today's world. The Christian backing, and loving nature is so welcoming to our kids when dropping them at school we know they are in great hands & safe....

My son attended VPK here. We were very happy with all aspects of the school. People (staff, parents, etc) are friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

My daughter has been in this school since she was in K-4. She will be in 2nd grade in August and I can't wait! Tuition prices are not the lowest but definately not the highest in the area. The school is growing, they serve Beginners (2 1/2 yrs) thru 5th grade. They are adding a 6th grade next year and will be adding a grade every year until they are a full middle school. The welcoming family environment is simply wonderful. Their extracurricular activities include; sign language, choir, dance, computer classes, piano, guitar, & tutoring.

My children have been at the methodist since k3. My husband and I always discuss the price and if it is worth it. The teachers are great the Christian environment is great. The kids coming out of Kindergarten where fluent in reading. The small environment allows the children to get one on one teaching , which you will not find in any school in Dade county.

My daughter has been FUMCS since she was in beginners at age 2.5 and is now in the 1st grade. We love this school, it's small and very family oriented. We have a wonderful staff of teachers, the majority of whom have been there more than five years, and the principal who joined the school last year '07. She is extremely involved in every aspect of FUMCS She is leading us to be the best pre and elementary school in our area. She is creative and progressive. Every classroom has at least 4 computers, and we also have a computer lab. She has established enrichment classes after school. The children love her and we hope to keep her and our awesome teachers around for a very long time.

I have had children at this school the last 2 years and have nothing negative to say. They have a great principal this year, who is very active and supportive of both staff and parents. Tuition is reasonable when compared to other local private schools. This past year they have had a full time pe and a full time spanish teacher (only mention this because of a previous review). The children get outside to play every day, which is very nice. And the academics are excellent- definitely giving my children a head start on their education.

This school is great for my Kindgergardner. The prices are too high and going up for 1st grade so she will not be returning but she has defientely learned to read and write in this school. Great for Kindergarden!

My daughter went to this school for K-3 and K-4. We really loved the very small class sizes and the teachers are warm and loving. Although they changed Principal's two times (one each year), the teachers didn't miss a beat.....they are the heart of the school and work very hard. The music program is fabulous, although there are no real sports. P.E. is very limited and they don't have a consistent teacher in this area. My daughter missed learning Spanish the second year because they didn't have a Spanish teacher. The school doesn't have a cafeteria, so the children eat in the classrooms....yuk. The early years teachers WILL teach your kids to read. The Abeka method of teaching is great! I would recommend this school for the K-4 through 1st grade for sure.
