Gregory Drive has very good and very devoted teachers. That's about all the positive things I can say about it. I've worked there several times as a substitute teacher and the students were quite possibly the worst bunch I've ever had in a class, and that's including my experiences in middle and high school. They were loud, rude, disrespectful to me and each other. I actually had a student come up to me and apologize because his class was "acting like a bunch of animals." Those are his words, not mine. The administration there doesn't seem to think that's a problem. Gregory Drive has a reputation among us subs and it's a very bad one. We tell each other to avoid it. As a parent, you should too.

My son attended Gregory Drive for the past 2 years. He has ADHD and the 2nd grade teacher absolutely refused to work me. She would write his behavior grades in his planner which were usually A, B,C and then put a D or F on his report card EVERY report card. He was bullied everyday by kids in his class and she would never do anything about it. I finally had to go to the principal with the problem when a group of boys attacked my son and left bruises all over his stomach and back. AND still nothing was done. I do not recommend ANYONE to go to this school!!! They refused to allow me to volunteer anywhere in the school even though I have had my volunteer card for 6 years. We are now at another school and ironically do not have ANY of the problems that we had at Gregory Drive.

Gregory Drive is an excellent elementary school. The staff is very attentive and helpful. My son has a seizure disorder and everyone has been so accomodating and understanding. Its such a great burden not to have to worry when you leave your child there. I know he is in capable hands.

I highly recommend anyone considing enrolling their child in this school to do! I have one son that is on a special assignment to this school. The Principal, staff and teachers make parents fill at home. I volunteer on my days off to assist with anything they need. No child is left behind at this school. If a child has a problem with reading that make sure that the child has every opportunity to get the additional help needed to improve. The staff cares for the children as if they are their children.

My child attended gregory drive for her third grade year. The attention to her educational needs were handled appropriately { she had no special needs.} The only concern with the school that I experienced as below acceptable was the faith in which the school handled their disciplinary children.

My children started going to Gregory Drive after coming from Tennessee. They were really behind but the wonderful teachers and staff did everything possible to help my children catch up. Now they are doing really well in school. I have never seen or heard of a school that has as great of a staff as Gregory Drive. Keep up the good work guys.

Florida uses School Grades to measure the overall performance of a school each year on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
