Great school! We've been at CCA for 4 years and couldn't be happier. Academics are top notch and there are many opportunities for kids with all kinds of interests. Our Head of School is very focused on quality teaching, strong academics (there are honors and AP courses offered for Middle School / Upper School). I am very happy that Christian values are modeled by teachers and staff and there are many opportunities for students to use their God-given talents and interests to serve others and honor God.

I am the longest standing student at MCS/CCA! I have been there through Pre-K and I am graduating this year. I could not recommend a better place to send your child. It is a great environment for everyone! The education is top of the line. The teachers work with students one on one. Thanks to them I have gotten into all the colleges that I wanted to! You cant go wrong with sending your son or daughter to this school. Take it from someone who has been there for 13 years!

Our son has been in this school for 2 years and for our family it is time to explore a different school in the area. We haven't found it to be the best yet.

Christ s Church Academy has been such a blessing to our family. Our child has attended CCA since Kindergarten and will be beginning High School next year! My .how time flies! The environment at CCA is not only loving and kind, but academically challenging. Thanks to CCA, there is no doubt in our minds that our child will be prepared academically, morally and spiritually for whatever God has planned for his life. You won t go wrong choosing CCA for your child s education!

Wow... last year Laura Bush visited Christ's Church Academy and in in a few weeks CCA will host an event with TIM TEBOW!!! Not only is the education top notch, but the enrichment my children are receiving from such highly esteemed public figures is PRICELESS. Any school can give tests and hand out grades, but I have found that CCA exposes my children (and family) to oppertunities they would otherwise never have. I have a 4th grader and a 6th grader. I find that the teachers challenge them to achieve thier best and the academics have proven to be much more challenging that I expected. I love that the Christian aspect is not "controlling", but is excellent in equipping my boys with character and integrity. The music and arts programs are awesome. My son get's to play in gets to play guitar with the worship band every Monday. I could not ask for a more well rounded experiance for my children and family.

I am a parent at CCA and I have two children who attend the school. They are currently in middle school and high school. We have been a part of the CCA team since kindergarten. I view CCA teachers, administration, students, and families as one big team. We have enjoyed every minute of our time at CCA and have loved working alongside my children's teachers as a support to wonderful programs. I thank God every day for CCA, the teachers, and the administration for the impact they have had on my children. I am also grateful for the Godly teachers and the way they love our Precious Heavenly Father, their students and their jobs. They have grown academically and spiritually to be wonderful disciples of Christ. My family has been trully BLESSED in our time at CCA

I have a son in High School who has been here since Kindergarten and will graduate from here also. Every step of the way, our family has been blessed due to the caring administration, teachers, and other families attending MCS/CCA. There have been hurdles to overcome, but without a doubt, God has always had his hands around this school and those who attend here. I have never had a conflict that wasn't able to be resolved in a loving, caring manner. It has been my policy to pray hard for direction in all circumstances. At times it's me that has to change and other times, "things" get changed. Our family has always felt loved here.

I have two children that attend CCA. This is our 9th year at the school. Our entire family is extremely involved in many areas: academics, athletics, fine arts and volunteer opportunities. I truly love the school and cannot count all of the blessings that my children have received by attending CCA. I so appreciate the fact that teachers are praying for my kids and are giving them a solid Christ centered education. And the administrators and leaders of the school are simply the best. I am so thankful for and proud of CCA!!

My children have been at this school since Kindergarten, and we love it dearly. The school has undergone a lot of change in the last year or so, but all indicators have it moving very quickly in a wonderful direction. The dedication to teaching all things with Christ at the center is stronger than ever, the programing continues to improve, and the teachers are amazing. No school is perfect, and there is always room for improvement, but God is good, all the time, at CCA.

My first grader is enjoying his second year at CCA. He continues to thrive in his school work - through the assistance of his teacher and teacher's assistant - who both work full-time in the classroom. When we were looking for a school, we were looking for a Christ-centered experience and high standards in academics. CCA has proven excellent in each area. We just enrolled our daughter for Kindergarten and can't wait to see her flourish at CCA as well. We are grateful for those who are teaching and those who are leading this school.

This school has been a part of our family for seven years now, and our children have thrived both spiritually and academically in this nurturing environment. While it is true that past administrators have been disappointing, present leadership has the school back on track, bolstering a staff of teachers who walk out their Christian faith and who are devoted to the students. We live in St. Johns County but choose to make the commute to CCA for this investment in our kids.

My son has been at Christ's Church Academy (formerly known as Mandarin Christian School) since Kindergarten and he is now in the Eighth grade. I have been more than pleased in the education he is receiving. The teachers are well qualified and interested in being where they are. They certainly are not making what public school teachers are making and yet they show more care and concern than I have seen from many public school teachers (and I worked for the public school system). I like that the school is small and the students are known by all teachers whether or not they are in that teacher's class. Sure, there are some minor problems that are being worked out. I don't believe there is a school anywhere that is perfect. Overall, the school is well worth the money and the personalized attention! GO EAGLES!

WOW! What a great breath of fresh air. This school has their act together and is truly Christ-centered. My child is getting the attention he should receive. I'm most impressed with the renovations at the school. So glad we chose MCS/CCA.

We have been at MCS/CCA for 4 years now. Yesterday was our 1st day of school for the 2011/2012 school year. My youngest child came home yesterday hating school. We have a new school this year. However, it isn't for the students to enjoy. There can be no pictures on the walls or windows in the classrooms and resource rooms. No snacks in the classrooms. However, the teachers ate in front of the kids inside the classrooms yesterday!! My husband & I left orientation with our jaws open. The new Mr. Coffey was less than friendly. I don't think he smiled once while on stage threating the parents with saw horses -not resolutions. Definately was not warm and welcoming! Big drop in enrollment this year, so their solution is to pack the kids into classes and get rid of teachers. We have no kitchen this year. But rather than raise $ for a kitchen, the funds will go to an already existing auditorium. Every year it seems to get worse. Huge administration changes EVERY YEAR for the past 4 years. We are searching for another school for next school year already. Walls, carpet & lighting look nice but children can't enjoy the environment!

My daughter was at MCS for one year, and we left in favor of an top-rated public school. The academics are fine and the staff is nice...but I was disappointed in the lack of emphasis on biblical values. My child was bullied several times during the year, and the staff did nothing. I have friends who are still at MCS, and their kids also experience it. I was also put off by the continual nickel-and-diming mentality, and the snobby attitudes of the "wealthier" students. I found myself wondering why we continue to pay a hefty tuition for something I didn't feel we were getting. We are very happy we made the switch; it just wasn't for us.

We were so impressed with our first year at MCS. Our daughter's teacher went above and beyond in helping her excel during the school year. I felt safe bringing her there everyday and I knew she was in great hands. It may not have all the bells and whistles (but it certainly has much more going for it than the public schools these days!) as some of the other pricier schools, but if you value a genuine Christian, family-like atmoshphere, then this is the place for you.

My son just finished kindergarten at MCS. I was very pleased with everything about the school. Academic excellence was stressed by Ms. Chambers & assistent. If we don't move from this area, he will attend next year.

I have 2 kids in elementary school. All of the teachers have been very nuturing and inspiring to the students. The academics are very good.. The tuition is also very favorable compared to other private schools in the area. The school has had its share of turnover at the headmaster level over the past year, I think the consensus is that the right person is there now, though on an interim basis. Personally, we've had limited exposure to the sports programs, though it was not favorable as every student should be treated the same -- I expected more from a school based on biblical values.

Huge improvements in such little time! Morale is way up in the past several weeks and families that were determined to leave under old leadership are already making their way back. I'm very proud of the MCS administration and the leadership at Christ's Church for making the right decisions. We are a family and we will work together for the good of our family. I know they will continue to seek God's will in all decisions, big and small. We have excellent teachers who know their curriculum and know God's word. It doesn't get much better than MCS! Thank you MCS for all you do for our family!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
