i really love this school i am going to the 8th grade and the teachers there are very good they try to help you the best they can and when is was in 7th grade ms.jones was a math teacher and that was my favorite teacher she is a down to earth person and very real.as the principle mr.daniels he is very cool also he want to see us good forward in your life and the kids there are perfect yea the kids there do fight but what school doesnt fight cause its alot of drama but "GO PANTHERS"
Before my niece started at Gilbert, we were really worried because we hadn't heard many 'good' things about the school. Thank Goodness we relied more on our faith than rumors because Gilbert is the best thing that has ever happened to my niece. She loves going to this school and her grades have improved tremendously. She even made the AB Honor Roll this semester and she hadn't done that in years. The principal and the teachers are awesome and she loves to learn. She hated math at Susie Tolbert but now loves it. I love that the young men aren't allowed to wear sagging pants and have MUST tuck in their shirts. They look like young gentlemen in the hallways. There is so much good going on at this school and I pray that her next next two years are as great as the first.
Matthew Gilbert is the most wonderful school ever! The teachers are wonderful and we learn alot! Eve though this school is in a bad neiborhood, it's still great and we still learn alot. Yes parents don't do anything but still, do you even think that parents would?
Out of five stars I give Matthew w. Gilbert Middle School two stars. I give two out of five stars beacause the acadimic programs are horrable,in most schools they have 6 to 8 classes Matthew Gilbert only has four. But there is alot of homework for each class. The electives are also bad the princapal has said the students can choose their own elective but no students are aloud to choose there own elective. the level of parent involvementis currently about 34% out of 100%.
