I HATE THIS SCHOOL. IT IS THE WORST SCHOOL EVER AND I WANT TO GO BACK TO MY OLD SCHOOL.
I've graduated in 2009 from HMS...this school is perfect, you learn better...and you feel at home...I made friends very easily...I was shy at first but in the end I was Out going because this school is verrrrry wonder ful. From my band concert to the art exhibition this school is something to look forward into...
Horizon is such an awesome school! I graduated from it in 2008, and have so many fond memories of the school! There are many extra curricular activities, and choices for students. It is VERY strict, but it's best that way. The academics are excellent!!! If your child is in the honors or gifted programs, they will have an even better experience! The drama program is absolutely incredible!!! The technical and drama teachers are from NYC and I have learned so much from them! Music and art are also great programs! I would recommend this school to anyone!
I'm attending this school right now, and I think this school is wonderful even though it may be strict I LOVE IT!! The teachers have new ways to getting your grades up and always are hands on they're always there to help you and i wouldn't want to go to another school.
I love the school and You have very good teacher
I love this school. Learning has become a habit of mines. The teachers are hands on and always have ways for you to raise your grades. The electives are some I've always wanted to try. I'm going to go into 8th grade and looking forward to it.
My name is Mercedes and I am a former student at Horizon Middle school. Horizon was an excellent school. The teachers and deans were wonderful. So I would rate this school a perfect ten, also for the fact that Horizon is a loveing, careing, and safe school. Thier education is absoulutely outstanding.
People claim that the school is 'too strict' but it keeps the kids in line. Schools in the area have had bomb threats, but at Horizon there hasn't ever been. Horizon has high school classes like Algebra Honors, Geometry Honors, Physical Science Honors and English Honors. The counselors are always helping each student individually. I would recommend this school to everyone!
I attend horizon middle school.I am very satisfied with the school it is one of the best in the county. The sports programs are the best. The staff always wants to help in any way they can.Motivation is the key. They don't look at students as numbers but as individuals.
As a former teacher at Horizon Middle School, I can honestly and whole heartedly say that you will not find a more dedicated staff. They are completely dedicated to student success. The teachers put in many hours of overtime (often for free) at the school providing tutoring and to provide any assistance the students many need. Horizon offers many opportunities for students from character education to music programs to TSA. The students at Horizon are offered many options when choosing thier elective classes. The school provides the classic electives such as art and gym. However, the staff offers many other unique electives such as law studies, drama, and ROTC. Horizon is an amazing school. I would reccomend it to anyone looking to move into the district.
