I love that the student-teacher ratio is so much lower than other schools. Also the teachers are more experienced than in other high schools. Extra-curricular activities have more variety, as well. Eager to send our kids there after doing our research. Also, less school violence.

There is more than enough extracurricular activities, but not enough parent involvement. Motivation and discipline needs to be instilled in the students starting at the home level. I see the administration and teachers as well as all staff day after day going above and beyond the call of duty trying to reach the students in their academics,as well as their personal lives where they see trouble right around the corner. I believe that the quality of academic programs is on an attainable level for students and they certainly are tested to see what their levels are.The teachers are very qualified and most are extremely motivated. Discipline is fair and handed out according to the infraction. I for one, am proud of Lake Placid High School in Lake Placid Florida even though we are considered a RURAL, MIGRANT COMMUNITY we have a lot of students who go on to become great citizens and businessmen/women.
