All the teachers and office personal at this school are just wonderful to have contact with. They care about our children and their education. The teachers also listen to what the students have to say.

What an amazing school! I couldn't be happier with my choice to send my son to LWHS. The AP courses combined with the extra curricular activites and amazing staff have made this school great. My son is comptetitive at even the best schools because of the fantastic AP program at this school. Thank you Lake Wales staff and administration!

Since becoming a charter school, the attitude of the teachers and staff towards the students has changed very negatively. My daughter felt so unsafe there this year, as speaking with the principal and guidance counselors was of no help since at the time they were more concerned with which staff were going to receive free leased vehicles from a local dealership, rather than safety of the children, that I finally did have to withdraw her from this school. Hopefully no other parents will be forced into such a decision (if the people in charge of the charter schools read this) and things will get better there.

I wish more teacher would get involved with the students. I also wish the baseball program was more in tune with believing in their players. As far as quality you would figure they have won many games but far from it. Academic programs should be more high school level.

I am impressed with the way discipline has declined from last year to this year. It is a better environment here. The students and teachers are happier than last year. We have a lot of students transferring in from other schools. I have heard several of the students say how much better it is here than their old school.

I personally think that it is sad when the new principal of my child's school wears the shirt of the old school that he used to be principal of at our homecoming.

when I attended Lake Wales, the teachers were more involved with the dress code than any other type of discipline. We had a teacher stand at the doorway in the morning and would video tape you as you walked in and if your shirt wasn't tucked in all the way he would show it to the principal and later that day we would get called up to the office. I think the teacher should be more involved with teaching and monitoring the halls for other types of harmful disobedience!
