I completeley disagree with post on June 4. I've had 3 daughter coming out of South Grade. One just recently graduated from High School from an Art school and was a pathfinder nominee and recognized as one of the best playwrights in Palm Beach county, She was inspired by an amazing South Grade teacher! She was not born in USA and she is a great role model and part of our future. My other daughter isJunior and a top student currently at a prestigious Art school. Recently my other daughter who just got out of 5th grade from South Grade was accepted at Bak Middle School in their music program, and presenly my last , but not least is going to to 5th grade. All their achievements is due to their wonderful curriculum. My expectations are met with The Dual language teachers, their amazing music program, their well develop Science and involvement of the students is just fantastic. their preparation into FCATs is just great! South Grade rocks, no doubts about it!

Unfortunately, I desagree with the opinions below. It is really sad to see this school trajectory . In South Grade administrators seem to be unable to believe in the power of education and connect with the school community. Most of the best teachers have left the school. A school that used to have an open heart for parents and improvements, under the new administration, became a close-doors- place that only cares for keeping up appeareances. Instead of transparent management, you find inaccessibility. It is not longer that attractive colorful school that every morning welcomed the humble people of the neighborhood. Lake Worth needs publics school that help their children to overcome their family limitations. Most of the South Grade kids (born in USA) will be part of our future too!!!

My son attended South Grade when he was in fourth and fifth grade, and his experience was unforgetable. The teachers trully care about their students future, and have high expectations. This school has adopted the reading and wrting program that was developed at Columbia University, which is the number one university in the nation in the education field.

One of the best elementary schools in the State. The dual language program, music and art departments are wonderful, not to mention the extra curricular activities. The staff is fantastic and the involvement of teachers with parents is totally positive.

I feel that this school is one of the best schools that I have ever been to. The teachers are amazing and the student truly want to learn. This school has a music and poetry program that helps the students' reading fluency through poetry and music. It is quite wonderful to see and hear. South Grade creates a postive learning environment in which all students are treated equally. Everyone at the school has the highest expectations of their students because they know that they can succeed.
