Highlands Christian School; formerly Temple Christian School has turned out an alarming rate of responsible citizens in Polk Co. and elsewhere. They are excellent in academics, their students are a year advanced over the public school system. They are sheltered from the behavorial problems that a public school has to tend to due to their proffesional discipline standards, which is greatly attributed to their academics. Children are nurtured in activities that render them responsible and in the case of discipline the children are learned to take the consequences in a responsible manner. Rev. Jimmy Richardson was a teacher in the school nearly 30 years ago and is now the Principal and Pastor of the Church. Years of loving the children that are cared for makes the school honorable. The children get cared for if they are lacking in a particular subject. They are not just passed on, whatever disability a child may have at the time the problem is diagnosed, is the exact time the problem begins to be dealt with. Solutions are implemented, and the child is taught to apply himself so that the solution will be productive. The Christian School has a fine sports program that is entertaining to both the spectators and the players. Sports is a way of teaching life skills and the school does that. Over all the school is the best school in Lakeland. Thankyou for you time.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
