My decision to withdraw my kids from Sonrise was financial, we were approved for some scholarship money but not enough. My decision to withdraw my kids from the summer camp was for their protection. For the second time since my boys have been enrolled in Sonrise a caregiver mistreated them. The first time the caregiver threatened my son, the second time a different caregiver threw my other son's toys in the garbage to force him to behave before taking them out of the trash and returning them. The administration was only concerned with blaming my children for the way they were treated. I completely agree with the complaints from the last two parents and even if my circumstances change, I will never send my kids back to Sonrise. My oldest was better prepared for Kindergarden after a summer of Camp Ready than a full year of Pre-K at Sonrise and my youngest is clearly more than they can handle since they continually taught him that his brother was the good one and he was the bad one. He came home and told his dad that he needed to kill himself so that he could go to heaven so Jesus could teach him to be good. There are some caring people there but the bad outweighs the good.

My little boys who are 2 and 4 now attended the daycare for a few weeks and it was a nightmare. I got a phone call at least once a week where I had to pick one of them up. Sometimes it was legitimate, but I other times, I felt they were just looking for excuses. Also, my 2 year old was hurt about 4 different times and they only attended there for 6 weeks. He also was always extremely filthy when I picked him up and had snot, food, etc all over his face and clothes. I understand toddlers get dirty, but he always had extra clothes and wipes. A simple wiping of his face at the end of the day isn't a lot to ask, I don't think. The place smells dingy and not really welcoming at all. Also, all the kids 3 years and up seemed to watch quite a bit of tv. They played videos on the tv when I dropped them up and at the end of the day and also when I picked them up mid-day a few times, they were also watching tv. Very unpleasant experience.

Sonrise christian school is not a good choice for parents who want their children to have an excellent education. I know of three teacher who were not certified. The students are not pushed to excel academically at all. Lots of "extra credit" is given to bring up grades and keep accreditation. There is a lot of focus on spirituality but not on actual learning. I would not recommend this school at all.

I found Sonerise Christian School 6 years ago, and wish I had found it sooner. My oldest daughter graduated last year 2012, and still have one in school there. It has made a BIG difference in our lives. Small class sizes that gives more one on one with the teachers. The staff is like nothing you will find in a public school. I highly recommend Sonrise Christian School.

My son has attended Sonrise Christian school since preschool and it is the best decision we could have made for our son's education and spiritual growth. Our son is a kind, loving, happy child. The teachers and office staff as well as counselors/aides and kitchen staff are very caring and kind. I recommend the school highly. The academics are wonderful and the laptop learning program is excellent. I feel the school is preparing my child for high school and beyond.

I love the family environment and the closeness of the students. It would be hard to find a greater bunch of kids anywhere. My entire family has made friendships that will last for a lifetime.

I love this school because it offers a great education while teaching kids to live by the principles found in the Bible. It is also affordable and they will work with parents to help make it fit into their budget.

The small class sizes create an opportunity to devote personalized attention to each student. I enjoy being able to target each child's needs.

My daughter has gone tot his school for six years and is above grade level than her friends whom attend public schools. The acedemics are awesome and most teachers are understanding, patient and over all great teachers. However this school has its down sides. But my kid will continue to go to this school, because they geared to learning and achieving!
