We have had a horrible experience at this school. Between the teacher arguing with my special needs child about her name, virtually no feedback on therapy she is supposed to be receiving, no indication of what they are working on and the inability to visit my child class, toss in the fact I have to drive my child to school because she was being hit by much larger kids on the bus, I can't wait to get her into another school. This is our third school. I'm not new at this. This is by far the worst school my child has been in.

My kids just started at Suwannee Primary School. They have been attending there for almost 2 weeks now and I am so impressed with this school. The teachers they have are absolutely wonderful. A lot of teachers these days do not have high expectations for the kids and luckily I have two for my children that are great. In two (2) weeks I haven't got the chance to learn about everything in the school, but what I have learned so far I really am proud to have my kids in a school where I don't have to worry about them not learning. I see everyday they come home that they have learned something new and interesting. That makes a school great!

This School needs some desperate Help as far as the education goes, the school is out half the school year and there is no summer school programs to help the failing children get to level of passing. It is horrible that intelligent children have to miss the learning that they are entitled to so that the school system can have a day off.

Suwannee Primary has a lot going for it. The principal is an exceptional leader and all the teachers my child has had have been excellent. The school has somewhat of a 'backwoods' attitude when it comes to discipline, but I've seen improvement over the last three years. Regarding the arts: Dr. Crews seems to be very capable and the children like him. Sadly, there is no art at the primary school. There has been a volunteer effort to get a program going, but it has never taken off. The school is only K-2 this year and doesn't have any extracurricular activities. New parents should feel very welcome at this school. The school has a robust volunteer recruitment program and always appreciates extra hands.

my son had been going to the 'east' school from k-2. we were sad that they had split the schools in our town to k-2 and 3-5. the teachers at east were great. very nice and friendly but..... they can only work with what is given them and the books to me after being raised in the north are way behind in standards. i moved to live oak when i was in the 8 th grade and they were teaching then what i had learned in 5/6 th. they have good teachers but bad tools to teach with.
