Overall this is a good school. There are some very caring, committed teachers who go above and beyond. The pricipal Dr. Carvelli, is approachable and always willing to help. He knows just about every student by name it seems. Extra curriculars include chorus, art club, running club and extra tutoring. My kids have found wonderful friends here.

I agree that this school needs children involved with better extracurricular activities, i.e. outdoor nature program, art, exercise (other than the too expensive Karate class), drama, etc. Teachers are great. Office staff is really great. School trips are the same every year. Carnival is boring. School building and surroundings are in excellent condition. It is great that school uniforms are mandatory; but there are children that are sent to school not wearing uniform. Meet the teacher day is chaotic.

My children (2nd & 4th grade) atttended the school last year and I was very impressed with the school. The teachers are dedicated and offer great support. In particular, for my 4th grader, I felt that there was excellent communication between myself and his teachers from early in the year and right the way through. They work hard for the kids to succeed. The kids had a great year!

My children have attended this schoolsince 2nd grade. It has been an honor to have them educated at P.H.E. They have shown a great atmosphere and support for kids. It might not be perfect but it sure is the best. Thank you

I am unhappy with the extracirricular activities provided by this school. They are non-existent except for a very expensive violin class. What happened to clubs that children could join to help encourage their interests or show them new adventures like math, chess, drama, music..

The quality of the academic program at pierce hammock is impeccable. The teachers are very well trained and love their job. Parent involvement is deeply encouraged and parents are often found in the classrooms reading with the students or helping the teachers out in other ways. I couldn't speak any more highly of the school and I was an elementary school teacher in the county for 5 years.

I have two boys attending Pierce Hammock this year (2006-2007). A 3rd grader and a Kindergartener who absolutely love the school and their teachers. The office staff are extremely nice and helpful. A beautiful school. This is the best school for any child to attend in the acreage. It is great that the children wear uniforms. As a busy parent, it is one less thing to worry about when preparing them for school. This is a 'A' school but I also give the principal, staff and teachers an 'A+'.

Before my child attended this school, she was not a very strong reader in fact she hated reading, but know with some help from a very special group of teachers, she is now picking up books on her own and she loves to read out loud. This school gets two thumbs up.

This school is brand new and completely up to date on all of it's technology, which is perfect for my kids to learn in the best environment possible. They are an 'A' school and the students are very bright. The classrooms are big and full of learning tools. The teachers really care about their students and put extra effort into teaching. The school is clean and beautiful. The only downside is that they require uniforms. I find this utterly rediculous considering it is a Public School funded by my tax dollars. They say it's so kids aren't distracted by clothing, I say it's oppressive. But I guess you can't have everything.
