My son has been a student at MBFS for the past three years. It has been a wonderful experience every year. The principal is very involved in all aspects of the school. The teachers and staff are Fantastic ! The family involvement is welcomed and expected. There are events throughout the year that brings the entire school together K-8. We are truly blessed to have such a great school.

Wow what an amazing school. The staff is amazing...great transition from elementary to Middle...it's like sending your child to school at a family members home. Mr Ateek is on top of everything from grades to proper conduct and goes out of his way to ensure an enviroment that encourages learning and model behavior. I love this school and can not say enough.

Maderia Beach Fundamental is the worst middle school, because of the Principal. He is always on his cell phone checking it for emails. He doesn't even acknowledge the parents as he is walking by them. He belongs more ion the elementary side not the middle school side. I have two children there, but I will send them to Thurgood Marshall. The Principal is more hands on, and makes the parents feel important.. Madeira has good teachers, but bad leadership.

Fundamental schools (all fundamental) not just Madeira Beach, their are more expectations on the students. One thing I noticed at Madeira Beach is the principal is always checking his phone for e mails. I find this very rude when you are talking to the principal of your child's school and the principal is reading e mails on his cell phone. I also find the front office of the elementary school not very welcoming. Since this was their first year as a fundamental school I think there are still some things that need to work on.

I just graduated mad beach this year as an eighth grader. I have been in the fundamental program since kindergarten, so it was easy for me to make the transfer. I personally LOVED my year at mad beach. The environment is fun and upbeat. As a student you do have to work though. If you havent been in the fundamental system before, it will take some getting used to. But this system DOES make you do work, and helps to be successful. I would strongly recommend this school.

This is our first year at Madeira Beach Fundamental Middle school. My son is in 8th grade. He came from a very small charter school the previous year. he finds Mad Beach more challenging. The environment is excellent and the level of teaching is in general meets or exceeds expectations. I highly recommend this school.

I love this school! I dislike how it's fundamental, although everyone says it's better, but hey, it's better than turning it into some sort of golf resort or something. All the teachers I've met were really nice, including the ones I have now. I like my courses, especially Band and Oceanography. Too bad Oceanography isn't year-long.

It is very true that Madeira Beach Middle is one sad school. So glad it is going Fundamental and getting rid of Ms. Poff with a new principal. I worked there so I know how lousy it is. Homework is sparse, communication is lousy, and believe me, I communicated - I was even there to ask, and was hated for doing so. I check parent connect, which doesn't list everything, every week, go to all the meetings, was in the PTA (which totally stinks) Madeira Beach Elementary was like this too. I bet you if you test a Madeira Beach student with another student in a private school or fundamental, that student would win hands down with knowledge. Get in line now to sign up though since it's changing to a fundamental program where communication is the key. Love to see how they'll pull this one off.

My daughter has been going to this School for the last two years and the teachers are very helpful and respond to everything I may need via email or call, to let me know the status of my daughters grades as I check them through Parent Connect daily to keep up with her. She has found that she gets caught in the wrong crowd and is a big social butterfly and this has caused her issues and makes me and her father stay on top of her to get good grades. She has received Honor Roll a few times and misses it by a couple C's and that makes her try harder once this happens. I would recommend this School just watch as they grow and change throughout the years.
