My daughter just transferred to that school and I don't like that much.. No communication so far between parent/ teacher. No daily activity worksheet her backpack always empty. Parking in the morning is terrible and stressful. When you enter the office administration the staff doesn't look friendly at all. We don't feel welcome and we miss our old school witch it "Bennett elementary school" .

My son has attended Margate Elementary since 1st grade (he is now a 4th grader) and I am extremely pleased with the quality of education he has received from the staff. Mr. Schroeder, the principal, is a true example of commitment to education and to the success of the students. It is heartwarming to see him, on a rainy day, come to the front gate and greet students with a smile, and an umbrella. The teachers truly enjoy what they do, and I constantly feel that I am in a partnership with the teachers to help my little one thrive! I highly recommend this school.

My daughter started kindergarten this year and we love it. They have tons of family events and my daughter is doing great. In preschool at a daycare center she was not learning as i would have liked her to but ever since she started at ME she has been learning very well. The staff is awesome and teachers as well. I did hate when they had to reduce the classroom size because my daughter was one of the children that was switched to a new teacher but she seems to be doing great still.

I am so impressed already with this school. My son just started elementary school there and he keeps saying it is awesome. I am in touch with a parent of a kindergartener who attends Atlantic-West Elementary also in Margate and they have been surprised by all that I keep telling them. I love the level of organization and care they have taken with the kids.

Our first kid went to Margate Elementary from 3rd to 5th grade. She did fantastic in all national standardized testing by scoring over the 90th percentile in reading & over the 96th percentile in math. My wife and I currently have two kids at Margate Elementary. These kids, 8 & 9, are both in the gifted program at Margate elementary and score very high in the standardized testing as well. The leadership and teaching staff at Margate are a tremendous asset to our community. We dearly appreciate them for there tireless smiles, cheerfulness, kindness, and patience. The parent cooperation here is very good. I had the privilege of serving on the PTA board this year. I am very impressed with the level of the PTA program here. Here again, we have excellent leadership from a core group of Parents who bring out the best in everyone around them. Thank you!

I believe that this school does not have a strong discipline policy. My child has been repeatedly harassed and administration has not cared or tried to resolve the problem.

My daughter is just starting her 3rd year at Margate Elem & she just luvs it. Started from K & now entering Gr 2. As parents we thought we made a good decision in sending her there & our daughter just luvs it. The teachers are very caring & attentive, and constantly challenges the students. They go on several informative field trips for the year which the children just thoroughly enjoys. When we entered this school it had an A rating & we can see why. Sports & extra activities could be improved but I think that's due to a lack of space on the school compound (school located within a decent neighborhood). But coming from a British style ed. system, where it's been said to be more advance we think Margate has substituted nicely for our daughter's education. Hope we do as well finding one for our 13 yo.
